Great Stuff.......set me up for Christmas ! ..........Have a nice one !
35mm film cassette case ? light and waterproof if large enough
grip seal bag ?
looks as if it would be a magnet for dust, dandruff and anything flying about to get trapped
between it abd the camera body
Switch off the power, they will starve to death
We pay mega bucks for the latest camera with more computing power than a Moon-Lander and Auto Mode is disdained ?
Do you have an " Auto " car, or do you use a manual gearbox?................ Which drives the car most effectively ?
Are you in danger of missing the shot while fiddling with the settings ?
Washing machines, computer controlled CNC,...... Micro surgery the list is endless where the computer wins out.
Perhaps in years to come you will be able to program your drone to go to your favourite locations, take the photos
and return them to you to process in PhotoShop,
Coming from a history of manually cocked shutters, flash-bulbs and slow film speeds, graduating eventually to a Zenith SLR
(now that WAS manual) First SLR with TTL metering I am hugely impressed by the programming power and facilities offered
by a modern camera.
I have a couple of IR remote triggers for Nikon, one genuine, one "knock-off"....... neither working, the contacts have oxidised ?
I am a fair hand with electronics and a soldering iron, considering adding connections to the oxidised (cleaned up) contact terminals
and connecting to an electronic flash slave detector . Take auto photos of lightening (not that we get many thunderstorms round here !)
trigger the camera with a flash gun ? Putting the bits together..........keep you posted
Predators OK.......... hawks, owls and even domestic cats take their toll of birds.....................but only one occasionally
BUT magpies watch the smaller birds, scope out the nest, wait until the nestlings are fairly developed and then take the entire nestful! ALL of them!
AND wreck the nest as well.
My scope has got cross-hairs and magpies make me cross ! Country folk round here call them " Them 'there Grackkles " which is a fair imitation of their
cackling. I can admire them for their beauty, respect them for their intelligence but find it difficult to love them.
they are a poor replacement for thrushes, blackbirds, robins, finches wrens and the other smaller birds that used to fill our garden and hearts with delight.
nice shots......but would improved by the superimposition of a set of crosshairs !
Murderous b******ards ! .....just watch them robbing smaller birds nests and killing and eating their nestlings. As their numbers
increase the numbers of smaller birds decreases.. Smart but evil.....the old gamekeepers had their measure.
It were a lot less complicated in the "good old days".......... ISO was the grade of film you had put into the camera...l.......you were stuck with
that selection until the end of the film .........unless you were "proper-posh" and carried a second or third camera.
We dont realize just how lucky we are !
Why are some people on this forum so unnecessarily Rude ??. Is it the distance between them and their victim that saves
them from a swift " Kick-up-the Pants " Do you have to be a "smart-arse" to be a proper photographer ?!
Does the D3400 HAVE a pentaprism ?? most of the later, smaller Nikon DSLR appear to use a mirror ??
only asking ??
Dont forget the Goon Shows, Tony Hancock and Terry Pratchett !
We are a difficult nation to understand, even those of us who live here ! Yorkshire humour is out there on it's own .
It is grand to be retired and have so much time on your hands ?
Me...............I have trouble remembering whether it is Monday..........or is it Tuesday today?
Awe-inspiring.......makes you hold your breath !.......especially when you remember what is hiding underneath all that scenery
