A waterfall just out of Wanaka, New Zealand
Actually, we sat at watched, have about 100 shots as they made their way around, to finally getting the perfect alighment. :-)
Lesson is to be patient I think
:-)
Came across a field of sunflwers latish in the day. There was great activity from bumble bees. watched as these two bees made their journey across the flower head, and created a smiling face.
Have had a look around the wing - great learning experience thank you everyone :-)
Our air-force put on a display over St Kilda beach yesterday. Started as a beautiful day, but turned nasty very quickly. Felt like we were inside a sand blaster. With sand in our eyes, it was a matter of guessing where the planes were at times. This was my lucky shot
Two images here of a bumble bee at work. Certainly a wonderful afternoon spent observing and so pleased no longer paying for development by roll of film anymore. Would equate to a month's wages in a single afternoon :-)
Thankyou everyone. Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
May I say how refreshing it is the get so much supportive and constructive feedback, feels like a wonderful supportive community.
Perhaps a little background regarding my journey. Long story condensed, I have had a lifetime love for photography, but gave it all away about 10 years ago when I suffered severe head (and body) injuries being knocked off my bike by a car. My son has sparked my interest by taking photography up as a hobby, and is constantly forcing me out to 'show' him what to do. It has taken a huge effort to muster the courage to post here, however, I repeat, the encouragement I have been shown is pure magic for my on going recovery.
The location for the photo is in Wanaka.
https://www.lakewanaka.co.nz/explore/that-wanaka-tree/I will try a bit of post processing on the image and post results as we go.
Again, thank you all, and I will be on the trail to try many of the suggestions in other locations.
Bit of experimental work here. 30 sec exposure. Full moon was not cooperating by hiding among the clouds, tree lit by my son using his high powered torch to 'paint' the tree. Feel my wife is lost a little in the foreground, and the beam of light bottom left needs toned down.
Happy to get other thoughts for experimenting along these lines
Thanks, will be having a little poke around to be sure.

Just rekindling my interest in photography after many years away from it. This is a sample of playing with slow shutter speeds, and learning ON1Raw2024. Thanks to fellow members for guiding into this final image
Again thanks.
Taking on board your further suggestions, and informative links, I attach what I guess could be the final image.
having said that, I am in the throws of learning ON1Raw2024, and wonder if I will never stop tweeting :-)
All great fun. I will post in the other section, Im guessing that isn't regards as doubling up.
Cheers

Thank you for your kind encouraging words.
Here is the photo as you suggested. Looking at it, I feel feel I need to trim a little off the base, however the top flow certainly has a better appeal.Again thanks

Anyone here using PowerPoint?
I just wondering why my animation ribbon is grey and is not clickable.
The stars are supposed to be green.
Your help will be highly appreciated.
You need to select something to animate.
Create a slide. - Type something on it, then select that piece of text.
Turn the 'Animation Pane' on from the 'Advanced Animation' section of the ribbon for finer control of action selected
