Playing with ND filter for the first time. f32 and 1/6 sec using iso 50. Happy for any feedback tia.
This is a superb image, color, lighting, and subject are all magnificent... the blur of moving water is balanced by the rigid well defined texture of the rocks. Time to retire, the images you will take in the future can not live up to this achievement ~!!!!
One suggestion, do a horizontal flip so it reads from left to right. It is the culture we live in and the training of eyes.
"... we read text and numbers: from the left to the right—at least in those countries where text is written down like this, anyway. Knowing that we look at pictures in this way could be important for photographers, since knowing where the eye first lands can influence how a picture is composed: where the main focus of scene is placed and what devices are used to guide the viewer around the frame."

"There is a theory that says we ‘read’ an image from left to right in the same way we would read text. For this reason, it is suggested that any motion portrayed in a photograph should flow from left to right. This is all very well but it assumes the viewer is from a country where text is read from left to right."

Thank you for your kind encouraging words.
Here is the photo as you suggested. Looking at it, I feel feel I need to trim a little off the base, however the top flow certainly has a better appeal.Again thanks

Beautiful change. You have what too few have, a mind open to suggestions. Repost your image in the art photo section, it truly is art.
The petapixel reference is a 66-page book if downloaded to MSWord. Many should educate themselves with the text. Another big sin is not cropping to the story In your photo it looks good.. but as you mentioned you think the bottom could be trimmed.... ok in your edit give it a try ... if you don't like Control Z undoes the change.

Again thanks.
Taking on board your further suggestions, and informative links, I attach what I guess could be the final image.
having said that, I am in the throws of learning ON1Raw2024, and wonder if I will never stop tweeting :-)
All great fun. I will post in the other section, Im guessing that isn't regards as doubling up.
Cheers

I like the second image. I think the first is a bit too dark, but the second gives a little more life to it.
Nice work
