I use the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 DX lens on my D7000 for my real estate shooting. I get great results and at f/2.8 it's considered by most to be fast, especially for a zoom lens. I picked up a used lens for $400 up here in the great northwest :D
I have the old "Beast", an AF-S Nikkor 28-70 f/2.8D IF-ED, that I keep on my D7000 or D200 most of the time. I extend the zoom by walking forward or backward, whatever the need. It's a great general-purpose lens. It's not the only lens I have but it is definitly the most used.
To continue the digression (sorry folks), I've lived here 28 years and have never done the whale watching thing. What time of year will you be here? You going out of Seattle, the WA coast or Oregon?
Well, I'm about as far north as you can get and still be called Bothell. There's one more house and then you're in Everett. I'm between Lynnwood and Mill Creek. I'm a Bothellite in name only and happy to be so. Don't want anything to do with King County (Seattle). Mary Burke wouldn't have any trouble getting elected here with Seattle's constituency. But, I digress from our topic, sorry.
Hmmmm, yep, you're one of the smarter ones for sure.
I had my eye on the rough calculation and I calculated the number of 1/3 stops incorrectly. f/3.5 ---> f/1.8 is 2 stops. That would produce 1 1/3 stops difference.
If you're using Time Machine you may find a problem. The Time Machine problems are various. Just DuckDuckGo/Bing/Google for solutions. The first post I tried fixed my problem.
Does the apostrophe not make the "somebody" possessive?
or maybe it is a contraction. Haven't checked Websters.
Who cares?
In this context "somebody's" is a contraction of "somebody is." To read it as a possessive would be incorrect.
As to "who cares?", apparently you do. You commented "there's just no excuse." In this context that conveys to me an expectation of a greater knowledge of english and its use than is expected from someone in another profession or vocation.
However, my reply to your first post was not intended to attack you. It was merely meant to point out that most of us do make mistakes. I thought it ironic that you, commenting on mistakes, made one yourself.
