I despair at times. Today I received an e-mail from an insurance company asking me to fill in a form and "forward it back". Forward it back!? I could forward it or I could send it back but "forward it back"? I loath how some people manage to mangle the English language.

I agree. We all make the occasional slip, but when somebodies doing it for a living, as in this case, or appearing on TV, there's just no excuse.

The likely is a fishing expedition by an intended hacker. Some of the signs are misspelling and misuse of language.

Sounds like misplaces computer lingo. Some people can separate the two.

No, it was actually written by a person and when I replied I pointed out that "to forward back" doesn't exist in the English language.

That is what I said, Sounds like misplace Computer Lingo (by some person). SOME PEOPLE can (not) separate the two.
I see that I left out the word NOT. I can see where you misunderstood.
