I like the RRS too - and it is pricey. I just bought an Induro GIT505XXL. It is carbon fiber and hell-bent for stout. You will need a good head - I went with a Manfrotto XPRO 3Way 200PL-14 to use with a stills/video setup. The entire assembly holds my D5 Mark II with a 28-300 IS USM telephoto lens (heavy) with zero vibration - even with shooting football Friday nights from the top of the press box.

Here is a “second” for Canvas on Demand. They have printed on 17x22 down to 5x7 for me. Their colors are vivid and do not fade - some prints are going on 5 yrs and look new. Their website is very user friendly. Search for a coupon - they have them

For all that are interested, I found a place to get free guide books for the areas around these photos including the San Rafael River Canyon area - "free" is the right price.

Jerry,

I have one more update. I printed the PDF I sent out earlier today. The print was just too small to really be useful. So, I scaled up the circle sizes, text, etc and moved them around to fit on a 8.5 x 11 page. The attached PDF should be much more readable - sorry for the re-send, but it is worth the trouble.

Jerry,

I didn't really like the "rough" drawing since it was in raster format. So, I digitized it using Autocad. I am uploading a PDF of the digitized format, but it is still rasterized. If you want the actual Autocad file, I will be happy to provide it. I understand that it may not be a format you can read (don't have the Autocad software). If this is the case, I can also provide it as an Adobe Illustrator file - fully digitally capable. This just means you can scale it to whatever size you want, the circles, text, etc. will increase/decrease in size as you see fit.

CocoaRoger,

Don't forget that you should register and enroll your "important" or possible revenue generating photos with the Copyright Office - a small expense for really good work.

Russ - don't forget that you will only be an hour away from Red Rock Canyon in CA. It is well worth the trip - take several empty memory chips for your camera and a good landscape lense.

Larry - might be difficult to find a 2 GB SD card unless you know the "trick". You can get one at Walgreens or CVS or some other similar pharmacy. I'm not sure why they are still being sold there, but they are.
