I LIKE it! Something I have thought of often and have not tried yet. Your's turned out great as it shows the emotion.

Reminds me of self-potraits of my grandfather. He was a Press Photographer who retired in 1941. Have lots of photos of his (and of HIM) they are B&W and awesome, as the negatives are 4 by 5.

Keep up the good work.

I use Ritz, but have come to know which clerks are knowledgeable, so have a good rapport when needed. A local camera store to me has the same issues: I know who will give me great advise and who will just try to sell me the expensive (fill in the blank) item. Too bad it has come to this, sice most brick and mortar stores have very similar pricing. Big Box stores have hurt the local/ knowledgaeble stores for the most part.

I have purchased used cameras and lenses from KEH (www.keh.com). They have lots of choices. I used to shoot Minolta so I look at these often. They have many of the older manual focus bodies and lenses. The glass is very nice on these.

I have a Canon 50E (Elan II E)with date back I'd send you for the cost of postage. It uses EF lenses. Nice body, but I had to fix the film door latch a while back. Works good though-- I just do not have any Canon lenses for it.

I currently use a Minolta XG-M for my 35mm film fix.

When I was 11, I had a Diana camera. It took mostly bad pics. It was 88 cents from a local 5 and dime store. For Christmas that year I got a Kodak 126 camera. Remember flash cubes and 126 film cartridges? I used that one a lot. My first SLR I got when I was 14: a used Minolta SR-7 with a 58mm f/1.4 lens. Nice camera. I shot a lot of B & W with this and set up my first darkroom. The affliction was set in stone! ;)

Hello all!

I came across this site while looking for information concerning filter use. I recently purchased a Minolta XG-M with 55mm lens. I have many filters, so now have a camera to use them with. I want to get back to black and white film when the urge strikes me and use my neglected darkroom a bit more.

I have been shooting images for over 40 years and enjoy learning new things. I have had lots of gear through the years and recently sold all my Canon EOS gear. I now have lighter Oly PEN kit. Therefore, I have something new to learn how to use and its much lighter to carry around.

I have shot lots of sports through the years: most recently, high school soccer and hockey (9 years). Now I'm interested in more creative/ abstract things. I love to shoot trees, silhouettes, reflections and architecture.

It would be great to learn from all of you: keep learning-- keep growing. I am interested in how to set up a method to share and sell images.

This site looks great so far!

This is a nice mage. As for the entrepreneurship: Sounds like you have things set up nicely to sell these so quickly. Any expertise on how to get something going for image sales you can share here?

I have been shooting for more than 40 years for my own enjoyment. Selling intrigues me. BTW: I'm new here as well.

Wow-- your shots are great!
I had fun trying my luck, but did not have what I needed to be as successful technically. Had fun though: mine includes some earthly silhouettes and I am happy with the results.
