A Crested big eye lame limb. They can be dangerous if you are stepping over a log they inhabit.

It's really quit simple, tribalism of religion vs common sense.

You asked "or do I have to shoot it again". Apparently you are able, so I would suggest shooting again. If shooting the same time of day use a polarizing filter as the shadows would indicate a 90 degree angle from the sun. Check histogram for proper exposure.

I missed a timely shot recently because I keep my camera set to BBF. I had only one hand to shoot in the fleeting moment but risked losing my grip by moving my thumb to the back button. I took the shot but it was out of focus. That was a rare instance so I will continue to stick with BBF.

I see so many people using their cell phones to take pictures anymore. I know they can get better pictures with a camera (I think!) The times they are a changing!

Sometimes my phone is the only camera I have. I have a couple of fine cameras but this was shot one morning when I had nothing but an iPhone.

I suggest shooting only the first few hours of daylight. Most of the idiots you are referring to are still in bed.

Very nice set of photos and commentary. I camp every year at Fort De Soto and in addition to the fort it is a great place to photograph a large variety of sea birds.

Hello fellow hedgehog’s! I’ve been reading posts for the past year but this is my first post. I’m going on a road trip down the west coast from Astoria Washington to Yosemite N. P. Any suggestions on what not to miss or a blog or website I can turn to for help? I want to take landscape pictures. Thanks in advance for your help!

In Astoria OR. Look for this place. Best ever Fish & Chips.
