Premium photo paper is the only and best way to get quality if that is want.
HP in my opinion is the best. They have specials on price all the time.

I have two FujiFilms, S5100 and S9000.
S9000 I took to Europe for 30 days and shot over 5000 photos and more then 300 video clips.

The camera did its job. Only drawback is the lens is not a Canon or Nikon, but still very good. For the average person you might be impressed with the results from my Fuju. I have 5 different cameras and all have a purpose, including the S9000. Love them all!!!

I have 5 cameras, 10D canon, EOS Rebel T3, Nikon, two Fujis and I have talked with Canon support and all the other manufacturers of my cameras many times and they all have been helpful in any aspect of any issues I have brought before them. The 10D is old and had problems, but has been fixed thanks to them. From the looks of your camera I don't think I would want to tackle something that looked that bad. I repair computers and if a PC was more then 5 year old I wouldn't touch it. You have to go along with changes even if it is sentimental to you. It looks like your camera was dragged behind your car. Time to upgrade my friend. Somethings can't last forever. Just put it on display somewhere so you can continue to enjoy what use to be. You are one of the few that I have ever heard complain about Canon support!!
