I shoot many of my photos with my Fuji S1500 10mp w/ 12x optical bridge camera. I was checking out the Fuji website tonight to find out it is now discontinued. They have a ton of digital cameras that now include some DSLR cameras. I think it would be neat just to see how many use Fuji cameras for their photos. Thanks for your reply.

Fuji S2550HD. I love this bridge camera. I've been able to do a lot of things a DSLR can do without the weight and the worries of expensive attachments.

I switched from Fuji to Nikon about 6 years ago, because the quality control at Fuji stunk. Within 9 months my camera developed a mechanical problem, Fuji replaced it, and within a few more moths, the same problem occurred. Fuji said it was over a year since i purchased the first camera, hence my warrenty was up, and they would not cover the cost of repair. Have been using 2 Nikons heavily since, often in less than ideal conditions, and have not had one problem. Fuji will no longer fool me.

Thank you everyone for your response. My first Fuji still works but I don't use it. It is a spare in case my current one or my Kodak kick the bucket.

I have two FujiFilms, S5100 and S9000.
S9000 I took to Europe for 30 days and shot over 5000 photos and more then 300 video clips.
Made a 5 hour movie from it all and wrote a book with 380 pages of photos. http://www.blurb.com/books/1540104
The camera did its job. Only drawback is the lens is not a Canon or Nikon, but still very good. For the average person you might be impressed with the results from my Fuju. I have 5 different cameras and all have a purpose, including the S9000. Love them all!!!

Taken at night, no flash S9000 auto mode

There is only one place in my area that still sells some CF cards and that is Best Buy. No one else in my area carries them anymore. My 1st Fuji took the XD card and those are extremely hard to find now too.

5000 photos and 300 movies in a month, wow, that is a lot of use. I haven't tried movies with mine yet but 5000 photos I say was done in about 2 years time for me. If yours is still going strong after that, then I would say it has more than paid for itself.

Not yet, but maybe soon. The yet-to-be released Fuji X-Pro1 with an APS-sized sensor got my attention. An adapter will be available to let me use my Leica M lenses on it with a 1.5 factor.

I have used many Fujis over the years. My favorite was a 645 folder. The bellows finally developed a leak, and I was advised to use gaffers tape to repair it. It worked, but I decided it was time to move on.
After switching to digital, I continued with Nikon. However, I recently picked up an X100 and later an X10. I like both of them and they are very convenient travelers. They are smaller than my Lumix cameras and much smaller and lighter than my Nikon D300, (soon D800)
I am very happy with the color rendition, clarity and ease of use.
