I also recommend the Canon Pro-200. Ink is expensive, but still much cheaper than sending work out to be printed.
yes, I'm good on the power supply - it's 650 watts as I recall, and has the spare connectors that can power a video card.
Thanks for your replies everyone.
Another thought I just had: If my machine has an Intel processor, would I be better off with a Nvidia chipset, or will an AMD chipset work just as well? Would a Radeon RX play nicely with my Intel I7?
Does anyone have a budget-friendly recommendation for an effective nvidia chipset vid card, capable of running ACR, LR, and PS?
That's what I'm afraid of. Keeping up with the tech is kind of a struggle nowadays, with the inflation and the bad economy. The good video cards are pretty expensive, and I need to upgrade my laptop, too.
Does anyone know from experience if the Geforce GT 730 4GB is enough to satisfy ACR's and Photoshop's upcoming demand for a GPU?
Actually, if your drone weighs over 250g it needs to be registered with the FAA, ($5.00). If you intend to fly commercially or for money, you will need to become part 107 certified. If you fly 'recreationally' you do not need the part 107.
If you have Photoshop, it will handle post-processing video quite effectively. I used Photoshop quite extensively and never realized it had this capability until last week.
I have since gone back to the previous version...
I usually go to 200% when i first start editing in ACR - basically to look for chromatic aberration, and deal with it. My Canon EF 24-105L has a tendency for CA, more than most - It probably won't really show up for posting on the internet, but I do a lot of printing for gallery shows and such, and I hate seeing CA in one of my photos after it's been printed and hanging on the wall at 24 x 16 inches.
Is anyone else experiencing issues with the very latest version of Bridge (ver 13.0.0.562)? I'm having intermittent crashes, and sometimes more than one thumbnail stays selected. Very frustrating. I'm on a Windows 10 computer with a fast i7 and 32 GB of memory. Fortunately I still have version 12 which is working fine.

I am a big fan of Photomatix. But I've been using ACR for along time and it has come a long way if playing with a RAW image. ACR is my post processing starting point.
But when there is a real difficult lighting situation, Photomatix is my choice.
Yes, I'm a big fan of Photomatix as well. Also a big fan of ACR, and I think it gets a raw deal as it stands in the shadow of Lightroom (although it's almost identical).
My typical work flow when doing HDR is Photomatix then ACR, then Photoshop. When not doing HDR then just ACR, then Photoshop. (And using Bridge, of course, to cull, organize, and launch).
I may plan to use ACR a little more, (in place of Photomatix) to combine images in the future.
I usually use Photomatix Pro to put together my HDR shots, but just used ACR for the heck of it to see how it worked. Not as many options, but seemed to keep a little more detail.
