Our children bought us a Phantom 4 drone for Christmas, my son gave us a short lesson a couple of days ago....it was fun but I have some learning to do! LOL! I am nervous, but excited. I am sure once I get the hang of it I will be posting here. In the meantime I will be enjoying all of your adventures!

I have a DJI Phantom 3 Standard. It is fun to fly, just be smart about it.

Welcome to the Drone Video and Photo section of UHH. I suggest you watch some Youtube videos and learn from others mistakes. An expensive drone like the P4P is not a toy, it's an expensive hobby so I'd suggest you never try to take it to the limits. Just because they say it's got a 4 mile range, doesn't mean you should try that. Also, set the return to home altitude higher than you think it should be to be on the safe side. I originally thought 120 or 40 meters would be high enough but it wasn't. So I set mine for 66 meters or 200 feet because I almost lost mine in a collision with a tall mast on a ship. It's hard to judge heights from a distance with the naked eye.

Have fun and post some of your pics and video for all to see.

How many have their FAA Drone Pilot License? If your drone is over 0.5 pounds at takeoff, you need a license.
Check FAA Part 107 regulations.

Actually, if your drone weighs over 250g it needs to be registered with the FAA, ($5.00). If you intend to fly commercially or for money, you will need to become part 107 certified. If you fly 'recreationally' you do not need the part 107.
