Mustang guy myself. Had a 1999 GT, manual, stiffer suspension, Cobra throttle body and 3" exhaust from the cat converters back. Car was very quiet for driving in town but it really came to life around 2000 rpm. Photo #1: swapping in a 302 c.i. engine for the original motor is a great choice. Nice fit, not too heavy and loads of OEM and aftermarket parts available.
What a coincidence! I've rarely heard anything fact-based from a right-leaning person. LOL right back atchya.........
"Run, duck and cover", meatless Fridays, iron lungs, bias ply tires, Ford Edsel, b/w standard def tvs, the draft, etc........wasn't all lollipops and unicorns but, then again, no era is.
IMHO, photography is a subset of the visual arts which, in turn, is a subset of all art forms. Hell, if it appeals to you that's all that counts. To me a great photo, whether enhanced in pp or right out of the camera is every bit equal to any other visual art form.
Personally I consider peanut butter M&Ms an art form as I do good brandy, bbq ribs, a well-paddled canoe, parallel parking, etc., etc.
Lack of water due to climate change, dependency on what little water is left for agriculture, over-building dams in the past, already depleted aquafers, etc. Well past the time to rethink, reexamine and reconsider modern nuclear technology and it's place as part of a diversified power grid.
My heart is with the Wisconsin Badgers but my wallet likes Kansas and Gonzaga. Always very interesting to see where the selection committee seeds and geographically places the top 16 teams (as rated after the last games today are completed). The one thing we can count on is that there will be alot of close games, some mild upsets and, hopefully, at least 1 huge upset. Let the games and betting begin!
V.T. v. Duke last night was a great game, more coming today as conference championships finish up. This is my 1st NCAA March Madness tourney as a retiree so my basketball t.v. cup will truly runneth over! The remote is gonna get a workout.
Finally, someone with a clue. Thank you!
As a kid I was a pump jockey at a local Shell station. Clearly remember the occasional gas war with sub-20 cent gas. But then again a decent house cost under 12k, most working men made under 15k/year and a new base Vette could be had for around 3k. People of every age didn't continually piss and moan about everything unless they got their way. All of us over 50-60 y.o. are complicit in this mess. All of us.
Exactly what wasn't complicated? BS? Comb-overs? Paranoia? More BS?
Oil pricing, per barrel, is set worldwide. What a bbl of oil costs in the US is the same as it costs in New Zealand. Increased production within the States (for strictly domestic use) wouldn't change the per bbl cost. There is no shortage of petro products in the US. Any local or national distributor who says there is a shortage is lying and very likely short term profiteering. Only 5%, give or take, of our petro comes from Russia. You will not see lines at gas stations, as in the 70's, due to shutting the Russian spigot. While energy independence would be fantastic it wouldn't affect the price of gas at the pump which is among other things a function of global crude prices, production costs, taxes and corporate greed.
I worked at online commercial nuclear power plants for 31 years (11 years in nuclear construction before that). I challenge anyone in any non-governmental industry to find another working environment so chuck full of alphabetic short cuts. There literally are procedures whose sole purpose is to list and define acronyms.
The "f-bomb". I hear it so often in public by all age groups, all ethnicities, male and female that the word has lost ALL it's shock value.
Liked the movie but I'm biased, been a fan of Bill Pullman for years. Two viewing suggestions for Western fans if I may: "First Cow" and "Old Henry". Both entertaining watches.
