Seven shot stack in Lightroom Classic.
Somehow the images went into my master catalog on my PC, didn't make it into LR Classic. When I finally discovered them, I had five folders with 216 pictures on my PC, all labeled "2020", so I imported each of the individual folders into LR Classic. It's still weird how all the 2020 images were showing in LR Classic before I upgraded, and somehow during the upgrade process they were no longer showing in LR. Thanks for all the suggestions to correct help, I also contacted Adobe/LR for help. Finally my photographer friend and computer whiz buddy in Colorado walked me through it on the phone. I hope I can remember what we did, so next time there's an upgrade, I can be prepared!
Thanks to everyone who replied, this is a great group. I finally figured out the issue, all is well, and all my 2020 pictures are now in Lightroom Classic!
Sorry, it was the subscription to LR Classic to which I was referring. I did find the pictures in my master file, but they don't show up in LR. I've tried to move them into LR, no luck thus far. I'll keep trying!
I did the automatic upgrade for the subscription to LR Classic, I didn't change any dates, didn't know that was possible! I did find all my 2020 images in my master file, but I can't get them into LR now.
I recently upgraded LR CC, and when I did, a new catalog was created, however only included images up to 2019. None of the images I imported in 2020 appeared, but they were there prior to the upgrade. Frustrating, at best. Even though I have over 30,000 images in LR, I'm still learning! Any suggestions on how I can see the images that were there prior to the upgrade. Thanks!
This is without a doubt, one of the best posts I've seen on UHH. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement plans! I retired on my 69th birthday, in July of this year, and have loved every minute of the free time and lack of schedule. I still wake up early every day, but every day is mine! My wife and I and our pets live in Alaska, so there's no lack of subjects to photograph. GAS is definitely something to contend with, but I think all my Nikon gear, lenses and other stuff will last me forever! I especially enjoy shooting wildlife, landscapes, family, sporting events, aurora (from my front yard, now that darkness is beginning to return!), sled dog racing, the changing seasons, migratory birds, etc. The possibilities are endless, and my camera(s) go with me everywhere!
I had the option of buying the Nikon 70-200 VRII 2.8, but honestly couldn't spend over $2,000 for what is an awesome lens. Instead I bought the older 80-200 2.8, for about $1,000 less, and it's been an incredible lens. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of the 70-200, but it's a great Nikon lens for 1/2 the price!!!

Eventually, you will acquire enough lenses that the new additions won't stick out so bad. My 70-200 was put on a shelf for a few weeks, then the reply could be, "what, this old lens? I've had this for a while.
Ha ha, happens all the time. I have so many "old" lenses, even I forget!!!
Amazon is selling the 7100 for $896 with free shipping. I am ordering one, definitely worth the difference, especially with free shipping to me here in Alaska (which some companies don't consider part of the USA!!!).
I've seen many requests for results using the Samyang 8mm lens, and I've found it very interesting, especially when shooting the aurora here in Alaska.
Aurora with 8mm lens
My front yard in the hills above Fairbanks, AK, always gives me a front-row seat to some of the most beautiful aurora. This was taken early in the morning on the second day of spring. Everything else is still white, but the skies were ablaze with color.
The mosquitoes can be especially bad in some areas here in Alaska, so heed the need for DEET! We do have an open season on mosquitoes, with no bag limit, and no license required, so whack as many as you can! Be sure to bring some good quality rain gear, especially if you're going to be in Southeast Alaska. You will have many photo ops while here, so be sure your memory card can handle all your wonderful memories! Welcome to Alaska.
The aurora has been especially active the past few days. Lots of greens and many folks have posted some awesome shots on Aurora Borealis Notification here in Alaska.
