Seriously you can get good weather anytime between June and early October and you can get bad weather anytime in there as well. They saying goes, "It could be a great country if they put a roof over it". Don't go expecting good weather but be pleasantly surprised when you get it. Enjoy the "Craic" (enjoyable conversation), a pint, the scenery and hospitality. Various weather patterns make for various photo opportunities. A very fast (1.4, 1.8) 35 or 50 is perfect for inside dimly lit pubs. Otherwise 18-270 or 18-300 or 28-300 make perfect walk around lenses. Throw in a wide angle like 11-16 on a crop sensor an I think you've got it covered. Been there many times, still carry a valid Irish passport. Have a blast, it's required. :-D
