I do a lot of pix of museum oil art. The oils are reflective, you can't control the lighting, and sometimes there is glass. Black cloths don't go in museums. There is also lens distortion. I simply take the pic at an angle which minimizes reflections, and then correct the perspective with PP'ing. I eyeball it, but it would be possible to get the original proportions and reproduce those with PP'ing.

You don't say if you will be having a car. If so be sure to take the drive north from Fort de France through the middle up to Grand Riviere.

Nobody seems to have mentioned stacking. No cutting or pasting, but won't work in all circumstances. In photoshop:
file > scripts > load files into stack. Choose align, but do not create smart image.
Check images in the stack for alignment and focus. Use move one pixel at a time if needed. Delete bad images.
Select all layers. Layers > smart object > create smart object.
Layers > smart object > stack mode > your choice

This would work if the cannon ball were dark against a lighter background; then choose stack mode minimum. Or a bright cannonball against a dark background; then choose stack mode maximum.

I came across this page which allows creation of multiple reflections such as in my sample image (the ducks are extra added later). I'd be happy to see what other UHH'ers might come up with.

Here's another version I rather like. (I may even have seen it on UHH some years ago.) In photoshop:
1. Set shadows and highlights to a little less than half max.
2. Duplicate layer.
3. Desaturate that new layer.
4. Blend mode: hard light.

If you hike, there are many choices right out of Sedona. I did the Soldier Pass Trail, which can be made into a nice loop. Fab scenery.

You don't say whether you hike. If you do, my favorite hike, and I've hiked a lot in the park, is Chasm Lake, off rte. 7 maybe 8 miles south of town. Spectacularly situated just below Long's Pk. A gradual and not very long hike except for the very end where there is a 100' foot climb with so-so footing. But it's higher altitude than many other hikes. Parking is limited so weekday is better.

It sounds like you are not a hiker, but just in case you can handle level ground: In the Tetons: hike north from String Lk. along Leigh Lk. and maybe on to Bearpaw - fabulous views across the water. Heritage Pt.also has nice level hikes, but farther from the mtns.

What stack mode was used? I am surprised there is no evidence of the boats having moved around between shots.

Just a long shot: Have you sent the pix with .jpg (or whatever) at the end?

If you like to hike without climbing, the String-Leigh Lakes and on to Bearpaw trail has some of the best scenery and wonderful lake reflections. Even there, make frequent noise and carry bear spray. Hiking around Hermitage Pt. is also good but the String-Bearpaw hike has you closer to the granite.

One thing not mentioned in the link: Don't remove or insert a card if sparking is possible - in a very dry room for example. I erased a card that way once, but it was 10 years ago; perhaps cards are spark-proof now but I never chance it.

The Alhambra at Granada. Surely you know about that. But....Get advance tickets online. And the tickets are not for entrance to the area, but to the palace itself. And they are religiously timed. Allow time to find out where you have to go for the palace; if you are late, good bye tickets.

And the great mosque in Cordoba. No tickets required, at least in 2006.

A moderate hike is Soldier Pass Trail. It can also be a loop but a bit longer. Very varied and splendid scenery.

Another vote for fotomagico. A really nice feature is that you can create a "stand-alone player". You can put this on any mac, like a friend's, and it will play in full resolution. Though I make my 'movie' on my desktop, I can put the stand-alone player on my laptop which can be connected to my HD TV for a slide show.
