I am currently using Elements10. I upgraded to 12 recently & began having computer freeze ups or problems accessing the internet. Uninstalled 12 & the problems went away. Did a little checking & found compatibility problems. Am not happy.

I use it all the time. In camera it lets me know if I am clipping (loosing data) on the light or dark side. In pp if you go to levels & find you have clipped the highlights your screwed. Can't retrieve something that is not there.

Nope! Won't do that. And do you know why? You said it first. Lol. You said "laptop". These are just fine on my monitor. I don't even want to think about looking at these on my wife's laptop.

I hope you realize this is all said in fun. You don't have to like either one, laptop or not. Lol. But when you mentioned "laptop" I about died laughing because I have tried and tried to do pp on a laptop but to no avail. I even tried making a jig to keep the screen at the same position each time. This did not work either. Nothing was ever the same twice. But the funny thing is that you may be absolutely right! I don't know. I thought I got both as right as they could be.

Just as long as you know I am not making fun of you. I really did enjoy your comment Feel free anytime to comment on my posts any way you want to! Thanks for looking!

Tom, no offence taken. You are absolutely correct. Everyone is viewing the same image on their computers but we all see it differently. It's what you see that counts & if your image prints out the way you see it on your monitor. I will keep looking. I have been away from the Hedgehog for awhile & have missed it.

I am on a laptop also, and I have no idea if my monitor is calibrated and if so, to what; no clue. I relied solely on my eyes and just kept changing the tiles. The hues kept changing before my eyes. I guess my guessing wasn't so good!

That is what I did. Just kept moving tiles so I had all of one color grouped & then arranged them. More green in the red, less green etc. 'till I felt comfortable with the hue order. The problem is your mind retains an image of a color or hue for a short time after you look away & it gets confusing. You need to just look at the whole image for a minute & try to decide if the order is correct. Now we'll see if anyone can figure out what I said.

I have issues with both. The black & white, at least from my laptop is too dark. I think the color has a distracting background with the bright colors, but I really like the extra detail in the woman's face. Maybe you could enhance the detail of the black & white then I would vote for it.

That was interesting. I am in the 60 age group & scored 0. Was wearing glasses though. Minimal color calibration pn my laptop.

I love birds and they make good subjects in New Zealand where there are few resident mammals. Lets see some of the most unusual photos and special effects created from our feathered friends

Really like your #2 Andy. Here is one from Oak Is. North Carolina.

I'm with GeneM. Gray Fox. Can't see the tip of the tail clearly. If the tail tip is white, it is a Red Fox. I don't see any white.

That did it! Now these old eyes can read it. Hope I can come up with something as creative. Guess I better get on it or I'll miss Christmas.

My sister-in-law has lost a couple of her beloved pets to old age recently so has a new kitten. She brought it with her for Thanksgiving. Took a couple of shots & was thinking of giving her a framed shot of Coconut at Christmas. Hope you like them. Thanks for looking.
