Friend from France and I changed fabric on chairs a few years ago to a blue on blue ... back was and is padded and pulled in by six self-covered buttons to a shaped board with a flat fabric attached to back ... seat has a 2 inch padded cushion pulled tight to a flat tapered board. My chairs have finials on outer rails and wood-carving is simple, not elaborate.
I had the chairs when living in France.
Didn't miss many European countries but didn't get to Spain.

Interesting photos but what really surprised me was seeing my dining room chairs in fourth down. I bought a set in California about 38 years ago with chairs like the six in photo - almost exactly and it called them English Manor style

I like your photos but your deer look different from our deer. Ours are a light golden brown in North Carolina
I thought it must be a shorthand undecipherable to me or maybe just the way photographers talked.
Would it be silly to ask for a page to go to of acceptable or well known initials - shorthand etc?
