Last year, it was $202. This year, it's $120. I thought I had corrected that $220.

I LovetheMts, too.

OK - I thought the point of your thread was that you are calling Spectrum to find out why your bill went from $100+ to $200+

Mine went up $30 because the govt subsidy expired (didn't even last a year - making broadband affordable).

Jerry ---- the March 2024 statement shows $120. - not $220. Do you need new glasses?

That is a shame- I was at the Nevele 3 decades ago for business, so I was only there for a short time but I was fascinated by the Art Deco design - it was simply a beautiful building. I really only got to see the main lobby and the bookkeepers office, but I was really impressed.

very, very nice. Looks even better on download with the black page background - shows off the small white margin that frames the picture. Would make a great addition to any wall - especially in the kitchen! Thanks for posting

Two years ago our local paper went from daily print delivery plus digital to a daily digital and a three times per week printed but not delivered. Needless to say we cancelled after 40 years as a loyal customer. I find I don't miss it. What I do miss though are magazines that have gone 100% digital, especially photography ones. I much prefer magazines in hard copy rather than online.

Same thing happened to our local newspaper. I stuck with the digital only version for a while, but they started charging $20/month for it - that and the seriously bad decline in content made me finally quit altogether.
I literally grew up with this newspaper as my 3 brothers and I had the delivery route in our neighborhood for probably a decade- passed from oldest to youngest.

Oh boy was that fun - brings back memories of when they came to our little, tiny town to play at our school. It seemed like we never stopped laughing the entire time. What a great memory - thank for posting.

My apologies. I unsuccessfully tried to convert to an easier read.

Please - no need for an apology - if I knew how to add emojis I would have added a winky smiley face to my comment. I was laughing at myself for not noticing the next post after spending the time with my nose up near the screen. I was determined to read it because I read anything by VDH. Thanks again for posting this.

Yes, a great read - I wish I had gone on to Robert Jerl's version before I took the time to read mr spock's version.

So happy to see you back - and thanks for another great journey. I look forward to seeing your posts because I know I am in for a learning experience and an opportunity to see people and places I will never experience in person. I'm sorry I do not often comment, I will try to do better in the future, but be assured I always check out your posts from Part 1 to the end (in order!!)

Thanks for posting these and the other three installments - very interesting and the apples are all so perfectly beautiful. When I bought my house and property 35 years ago there were old apple trees all over and they were all different varieties. The house was built in 1930's so they were all very old at that time. Unfortunately the trees have been slowly dying off over the last two or three years. I'm can no longer get enough apples to make a pie- and they made the best tasting pies.

Great post - these are really interesting steam locomotives, I would love to see these in person. The older, smaller ones are so intricate - and I really like the "big boy" steams - they are beautiful - so art deco looking. Thanks for posting these.

Yeah, I think you can watch your request go down the drain.

I am 100 % sure that your response is what the nextdoor poster was looking for - he sounds like he loves a good plumbing pun.

Surely, no one would think his proposal was for real.

Very, very nice - proves that all good things come to he who waits. Thanks for posting.
(Spell check wants to change the "he" in this saying to "him" - which just sounds weird and not right to me)
