Earlier this year I purchased an r7 and love it ,but it was a big step up from my old 60d. Lots to learn. I know I can access the owners manual online, but I would also like a printed non canon manual that I could use. Just wandering if anyone had any recommendations?

found my self in the same situation but came across a web site (Full Stop Books) has a ton of different books that can be down loaded for a bunch of different subjects. Have my R7 set up based on down loaded info. Good luck

years ago on a return drive from Clevland to NY brothwr and I saw 16 road repair/construction crews. Of the 102 crew members we saw only 15 were actually working. Yes we counted, noticed this on way out and just had to verify
that we had the wrong jobs.

Most days my time is very limeted, the old format was very fast and easy to use, I could choose what I wanted to see/read, without having to look at every post, As mentioned above I could chose what I wanted to see/read, now I have to read every post.

just returned (8/27) from Yellowstone, (great trip) had 50mm & 100-400mm, 1 camera, wish I had 2 camera's, one for each lens. 100-400 was great for Bison got a few good shots but should have had the extender on.
Saw momma Grizzly w/ 2 cubs 15 feet from car, later had male Elk 3 feet from car (could have touched antlers),
then came across Bison blocking one lane, took shots with 100-400 as we passed, only got 3 heads, could never have changed lens fast enogh, glad I got what I got but woild have loved using the 50mm. Would suggest taking 2 lens + extender, short for landscape and long for wildlife. In Yellowstone it's all about landscape and wildlife, have a great trip and shoot a lot.

Being a bit old fashion and not completly trusting the computer world, and worse case, camera bag, with camera and memory cards gets stolen, you have nothing, (if your equipment goes missing most likely you will upgrade to a new system but if your in love with the old guy, you'll replace it, and (although rare, memery cards sometimes do fail. I have started a Excell spread sheet, containg all my settings (including some notes as to why I chose that setting) for each camera, saved to my desk top, printed out 3 copies (keep a copy in my trael bag, always have a copy with me) and being a bit redundant saved a copy on a thumb drive. As mentioned being old fashion and old still prefer to read from paper. good luck

we (wife, myself & son) only got to see his live shows 156 times, and they were great. Son was born in 1970 and to this day still talks about the shows. He had a fantastic voice and put on a super fantastic show. Loved the Las Vegas Hilton shows the best.

back in the day, I did see Spooky (C-47 gunship) at work with a black bottom for night work (at night never actually never saw the plane just the long blast of flame erupting inthe sky, did see one parked at the AnKee Goulf Course), never saw the AC-130, but if spooky had it I'm sure the AC-130 did

Thanks for commenting Tom.
I posted these with some trepidation because of the large number of Vietnam Vets on the forum. It's much like the photos displayed in Holocaust museums throughout the world, some of which I visited. I just learned that several family members who I never knew were killed in the camps yet I continue to watch documentaries, read books and view photos of the darkest days in modern history. We also plan to some day visit the camps in Poland and Germany and I plan to photograph and post the images. Yes, I'll probably walk on the ashes of my family members who were not killed as combatants but merely for their beliefs. Despite the pain, my hope is that people can appreciate the hardship our troops endured during the Vietnam War by seeing and reading about this awful place so we don't repeat the mistakes we made. The memory of hardships suffered must be kept alive for the younger generations.
Thanks for commenting Tom. br I posted these with... (show quote)

Thanks for your kind response to my comments, I do feel that all history, including unplesent, shoud be kept alive but I and bunch of others would feel better if the place was leveled and left a vacant lot for the jungle to reclaim the land, our tears would keep it well watered
