Definitely NOT a fan.

What does this change accomplish - I can filter (sort) by topic.
But, in the previous format, all was sorted already.

Under this outline, it appears to me that the sorting function was removed from the admin side and passed to the member/viewer side.

Thanks for nothing. I would much rather scroll and open posts as I choose!!

Not an improvement in my opinion. Makes it look like a 1965 website IMHO.

The new format makes it much harder to avoid clicking on the massive quantity of "becheerio" AKA Jack of all knowledge, master of none.

For many years I was fortunate to hold divisional roles across large organizations either side of the pond. One of the best bits of advice I ever received during my initial appointment was:

1. If many colleagues were to be impacted by significant changes to policy or process ensure you over-communicate; including a heads-up notification of changes that will be taking place.

2. Create a draft that can be forwarded to one or two of one's colleagues to solicit feedback before broad circulation.

3. Be very specific of the change(s) being made and, where necessary, articulate examples that highlight the revised policy or process.

A do-over of theses may be appropriate as I have no idea of how I now readily access the latest contributions from hoggers. Mind you, I am getting older by the minute.

Assuming you mean 1995, you should try some other photo forums. UHH is far superior for us seniors with its large type size and space between postings in a thread.

And just so you know, the digest form is not the website format!

I also agree fully. This is a real disimprovement! Revoke the changes, please.

Enlightened management practices where those affected by the change are consulted - what a novel concept!

Per admin:

“And my analytics tells me that majority of clicks happen on the top few topics in the digest. So most attention is given to the few topics in Main while much more popular topics in other sections are shown way below, where fewer people see them.”

I don’t trust your “analytics”……..
How can topics in other sections way below be more popular if the top few topics get most clicks? Your comment makes zero sense!
Wouldn’t topics with the most clicks be deemed to be most popular????
