I currently use ON1 2023.5, Topaz Photo AI, and Adobe. I find ON1 a bit harder to use, so it gets the least use of the three. However, I am often happy with the results I get from ON1 and therefore still upgrade it regularly.

Yes, they do make lithography equipment used in chip manufacturing.

I made the point but you apparently missed it, and still don't get it.

Your statement that Nikon manufactures all of the parts used in their lenses is not true. By your own admission above.

Silicon as in semiconductors, as in electronics that are in modern lenses.

Nikon has outsourced some of their recent lens efforts to Tamron.

Nikon, like most other companies, isn't what it once was.

Nikon doesn't grow or package silicon.

Certainly not true.

Nikon doesn't manufacture the silicon products used in their lenses. Nikon likely doesn't manufacture the fasteners or motors used in their lenses. And I would suspect that Nikon does not manufacture the rubber products used in their lenses either. And there are probably other parts that are outsourced as well.

Manufacturers of products containing many components rarely manufacture all of the parts used in their products.

I bought my last two mirrorless cameras based on features and lenses available at the time of purchase. A possibility of future lenses from additional sources doesn't mean there will be something introduced that I'll buy.

Karin, what a wonderful challenge you've suggested! The group has certainly produced so many fantastic examples of "critters" and so wonderfully photographed. I've enjoyed so many of the entries. I will attempt to meet the standards with a few examples (sorry I am so late getting into the fray).

Very nice set of critter pictures.

Here are a few of my encounters with my favorite animals. Yes, I like spiders, too---the big garden type. They're fun to watch. The Owl is from Cochran Mill Nature Center, Atlanta and the Polo ponies are from Chukkar Farm, Atlanta. It would be nice if the Cedar Wax Wing encounter would happen more than just once a year.

Nice. I especially like the owl and Cedar Waxwing shots.
