Great captures! Keep at it.
Just stopping by to introduce myself to all of my esteemed colleagues. I'm an old-time photographer with a ton of totally useless darkroom experience. I started a slow transition to digital around 2000 & I've been totally digital since around 2002. I shoot mostly Canon, but the camera a photographer uses (within limits) makes a minimal difference in the end product. Mostly I shoot fine art figure, pin-up or nudes, so most of my work will never grace these pages. However, on occasion, I'll click on a bird or a flower & I'll be sharing a few of those, or maybe a headshot or two.

I could easily point out half a dozen or more minor problems with this image, but I will not! Rather, I say, "FINE JOB!"
Photographing a flying bird is difficult, even spotting an eagle is difficult (at least it is in NYC, where I live). Just capturing it in frame is difficult. I give this high marks!
I have no problem with the cropped petals. (Although it's probably a "safe" rule to not crop petals.) I like the yellow-green contrast & the brightness of the colors. The septals seem to be tack sharp (at least in part) & that is a BIG PLUS for this type of work.
