I believe the intent of the pro gun control folks is way out in left field. Taking the guns (any guns) away from law abiding citizens does make those citizens as well as others targets for the criminals AND anyone else (including our government) to have absolute power over us, again, the law abiding citizen. I saw a bumper sticker that said it perfectly. I'm sure you've all seen it: "when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns". The criminals will always find a way to get theirs. Just like the drug addict will always find his fix and the politician his voters. It's the nature of the beast. Now I have to ask; can anyone tell us just exactly how many elected officials are truly "law abiding"? I'm sure Mr. Nagy will have the exact "data" readily available and explain it all to us in less than 500 words. Refutable or not.

So any weapons should be allowed? The wanna-be-killers will always find a way to kill, so why not allow private individuals to own bazookas, cruise missiles and nuclear warheads? Makes no difference...

That is your standard reply.Do you not have anything else? Anything that makes even a smidgen of sense?

I ask it again, because it is never answered. Many of the pro-gun crowd claim, that widespread guns has nothing to do with high rate of murders, as the guns are only tools and if wanna-be-killers did not have access to them, they would just murder with another tool. This is probably true, but it also ignores the fact, that more efficient tools get more work (in this case bloody work) done. I am just taking that argument to the extreme, to show how silly it is. Better tools (weapons) equals more work getting done i.e. more deaths.
It gets even more silly, when pro-gunners try to make a point (this has been done several times in various threads here) by mentioning the case from China with a nut case attacking school children with a knife and claiming that knifes (or clubs) kill as well as guns. This despite the facts of the story, that clearly shows, that knifes are so much less efficient. The guy managed to stab many children, a few of them very seriously, but not a single one died.

Another thought perhaps? A moron with an education and a flair for stringing words together, is still a moron.

Your video example of a UK robbery is a scene from the movie Zombieland.

I'd love to know where your data comes from. In the first year that Arizona allowed carry permits, crime rates dropped 77% and violent crime including rape, 62%. Both increased significantly in Australia after law abiding citizen's guns were given up and destroyed. That said; whether fact or fiction, I'm sure we can all find data promoting both sides.

My grandfather, grandpa rosanna danna, used to say; "you can't make chicken soup out of chicken s***!" My advice would be to walk away from this one.

Here's a new one from yesterday's shoot at the Knoxville Zoo. My good friends at ARiES ENERGY are installing solar panels on the Elephant Enclosure. This is the "before" shot.

Mr. Nikonian,

Sorry for the delay, but I hadn't had the chance to get a shot of my rig until now. My backup camera is in the shop so I had to shoot this with my iPhone. For the moment, it's loaded up on my passenger vehicle, but will be on an SUV or pick up by the end of the month.

Yeah, it looked quite a bit higher than 60-feet. (16 stories = 160-feet).

I believe that you have a very interesting sales tool. Is someone else doing this as well, or is this unique to you at this time?

I would love to see a photograph of your van and mast, at both lowest height and fully extended.

totalmastsolutions.com in the UK They can either ship it to you or point you in the direction of a dealer here in the states. Be aware, they are not cheap. Mine is actually one of the smaller, portable masts and it was close to $10k

Can you provide source for the tripod? Thanks (Living in a mountainous area, helpful to have a some stronger angles.)

He'd probably love to take the trip. You'd have to keep your bat handy to chase off the young ladies though. He's a looker. LOL

It's actually a pneumatic, telescopic mast. I mount my camera to a pan/tilt head and tether to my laptop in my car. Here's a couple more samples of my work.

Here's two more. The first, I used another old print that I had from a photo of a zinnia, with the mixture barely stirred at all. The second was the same Barbies, stirred just a little more.
