Very nice. I always add a background layer in PS, bring that into one of the various Topaz plugins, then modify the layer transparency to produce a more realistic final output.

Of all the stuff I've shot, I have never run out of battery charge, and a spare is so much less expensive. Besides, Nikon's are heavy enough now without the extra weight of a battery grip.

If you have Photoshop CS5 or 6, you can do HDR, but you are not going to get the same results as you do with Photomatix, particularly v 5., which has some great additions to the feature set.

Yes it's big when on your strobe, but it collapses into your case. I get excellent results for interior shots with the lightsphere.

I use Microsoft ICE to merge pano files into single images. It is free, and will only handle jpg, bmp, tiff, etc.

Yes, you can do all of this in Photoshop, but the learning curve is steep. Topaz plugins let you exercise a lot of creativity in post production editing with results literally from mild to wild. Adjust is the starting point.
