Was walking by a fence near Ketchikan, Alaska and spotted these beautiful mushrooms. They are Fly agaric/Amanita Muscaria mushrooms and are comprised of several different species. They were behind a fence post but I was lucky enough to have enough room to make a photo.
Very nice! I like the 1st and 2nd pics. I’m a flower lover also and orchids are some of my favorites!

Lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for the last 25 years of the last century and remember the beautiful native flowers. In our area the Bluebells were the ones I remember seeing the most of.
I love them also—do you have any pictures of them to share? I remember them when I was a little boy. My grandmother had all kinds of flowers around her home and she and my mother taught me to appreciate their beauty. She had Bluebells in the back garden. Sadly, her place doesn’t exist now.

Great photo! This was one of my father-in-law’s favorite places on earth—except for the cold, which he was not fond of! Thanks for sharing and stirring up memories of a beautiful place! More, please!
Great catch. Love it—looks like a painting.

May I ask what this has to do with a Photography Discussion forum?
Yes., you may. I made a mistake, ok. Relax—I’m old and still learning. Just thought it would make someone smile! 😊
Yep! It worked! I can’t afford a decent camera to capture the moon and its landscape. I only have an iPhone 7 Plus which doesn’t do this. So, I’ll have to live vicariously through other’s captures. Yours does not disappoint! Thanks for sharing—more, please!!
I love these! I am looking for a Sago Palm tomorrow to see if I can replicate your submission! I’m impressed with how you captured the details of a Sago Palm that most people would overlook! Great Capture!
Do what pleases you. You’ll never share everyone’s view of what you see or how you interpret what’s a “perfect” make of a photo. As long as you like they way it looks, that’s all that matters! Conversely, consider and maybe act on (pick and choose) the suggestions, critiques and experiences of others to improve your photography skills. I use several post editing apps to enhance my photos to suit ME, especially sunrises and sunsets. I am an amateur and use an iPhone 7 Plus and although it takes great photos, I sometimes feel the need to enhance the brilliance of sunrises or sunsets, flowers, etc. That’s the beauty of digital photography, whether with a DSLR or iPhone or Android—you shoot what you see at the moment, exit to your taste, but then can later review, evaluate/edit/enhance as you see fit. Here’s a massive cloud I took today, lit up by the setting sun and an edited pic using the Edit features on the iPhone app to enhance the color as I see fit. Tomorrow, I will relook and probably edit it again, maybe using Snapseed or PS app as I see fit. Enjoy this great hobby to see the beauty in everything and use the “what if I” or “I wonder what it would look like if I did” to think outside the box and achieve satisfaction for YOU foremost! Happy Snapping!
I live in San Antonio and in the Spring, I love to travel to the Hill Country to make photos of the Spring Flowers. Hope you enjoy them! Some were taken with an older iPhone but I now use an iPhone 7 Plus. I use several post editing apps, but my favorite is Snapseed. So much to learn! Sending more in Part 2.
This posting is for the baby boomers that watched Hee Haw on TV in the 60’s. A friend of mine watched every episode had this tag made for his golf cart to display Junior’s famous “BR 549”.
Ah-whoo-ah!! Exactly! My family (except the wife) likes my “creative thinking” but Mama says “it doesn’t look normal”. My retort is “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. Lol
But, I do appreciate the comments and will take them to heart. I try to see the beauty in everything because I know that glaucoma, a family “curse”, will probably rob me of my sight one day soon, so I want to enjoy what I like. I’m an avid golfer as well. I’m thankful for my “buddies” who look after me and make my life on the course enjoyable as well. We’re seniors but we’ve got a lot of living to do! Wishing all the best!
Thanks for you comments. Btw, the last picture is my only grandchild and her name is Ava! We are truly Blessed to be grandparents; and, yes we spoil her!!
