Yes, that's one hell of a shot alright. Curious as to the camera & lens?

To Trix.

Chris you are a life-saver. The reset trick did it! Never would have thought of it. We're back to normal and ready to go back after the eagles, swans, and ducks tomorrow. My photo assistant -- Coco the retriever -- is especially happy. She just loves watching the ducks.

HEY Nikon people ................... it took a Cannon shooter to figure this one out.

Dynamite!!! Great capture & composition. Better get a 16x20 print, matted and framed for your living room/den. That photo is worth 10,000words.

Thanks, I've set the WB as you suggest. Tried posting a photo, will try again. As for reset, an option I'll pursue.

Interesting photos.

I like the one of the fireplace and old stove kettle, but there are some points to ponder regarding Quartzsite. It was referred to as, "The Cross Roads" in the 60s. There was a four-way stop (signs only) at the intersection of Hwy. 95 and the East/West highway going to Needles. The only thing there at that time was a run-down gas station and a small shack mom & pop store that didn't sell much of anything. The owners lived behind in an older, beat-up single-wide with a swamp cooler (60s AC). Quite a depressing place ... and, as usual for that neck of the desert .... too many damned rattlers!

Don't know where all the props and settings came from for the photos, they were never there in the first place. The population in the 60s was 2, sometimes 3. It gradually turned into a winter get-a-way and tourist mecca, becoming a giant mega city of snowbirds ... as it is today.

Okay, here is a Blue photo problem with a D610 that has me pulling out my hair trying to fix! The very first thing I did in the field yesterday when I saw this frightening playback in the playback display was to reset the custom default ... hit option Yes, but problem persisted after repeating this option until I just gave up. Today, same issues ... can't restore back to normal playback.

It was a hectic day shooting, eagles, swans, ducks everywhere ... and then a scenic would popup, and I was trying to make settings for everything and was in the Menu adjusting. Don't shoot Raw, never have, never will. So ............ any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't shoot or use raw, never have, but may have hit something in that setting accidently ... if so don't know how to reset that area if I did. Note: Custom Setting Menu - Reset Custom Settings was the very first thing I did in the field after the problem was present .... no luck, have hit YES & OK several times but the problem persists.

Somehow a setting was inadvertently set, and have tried resetting but can't figure it out! The playback display of the photo is deep bluish ... sort of a blue black & white. No natural colors of the subjects are displayed, just this very annoying blue image. When downloading to the computer for viewing the image is the same! Consulting the manual so far with no solution. Thanks for any help.

I'd consider your 810 dependent on the price and shutter counts -- reason I was looking at a 610 was price and the fact it would be a backup just in case ... but,

Tremendous!! That 850 & f/2.8 lens is a hard combo to outdo ... cannot be outdone IMO. Have my eye on a D850 ... someday. At 45 MP can't imagine the naked human eye detecting any pixel separation. The 810 at 36 does a remarkable job too. Will have to settle for 24 until my ship comes in.

The body does resemble an eagle. Super detailed shot.
