Here is a Dropbox link to the collection I purchased a few years ago. I use them on an iMac without any problems.

I travel quite a bit and I found the Apple Mac Air to work great. I am sure you can find a Mac Air 11" used at OWC. Since you are already using Mac software, it makes sense to check the Mac Air 11" (a full-computer, very small, thin and light).

I have a nice big ol Canon 6d with some expensive lenses but really wanting something to keep with me all the time. I’m with Fire/Rescue and miss documenting lots of stuff because my 6D is safely at home. Thinking mirrorless due to size and would like maybe one good general lens with some zoom. I don’t want to spend a small fortune due to the possibility of it getting stole, lost, damaged, destroyed or who knows what. I always shot Canon but for this possible purchase I’m not looking for a certain brand, just something to document with. Thanks guys!

My "photo shoot camera" is a Nikon D850 and my "everyday, everywhere" camera is a Sony a6000. Been using the a6000 for about 3 years with excellent results.

Select "Export" under the "File" menu. In the Export window under "Format" you can select several options including "JPEG".

I am from Peru and I have never heard such a thing about paying a fee for bringing a specific camera lens (any lens) to Machu Picchu. BTW, you are going to do lots of walking and climbing around the Inca citadel, so careful with lugging equipment. Suggest bringing a small backpack for your equipment; a backpack that can be securely closed to prevent unwanted hands into it. I use Nikon 80-200 mm F/2.8 and I would find it too heavy to carry around the mountains for several hours. BTW, all the 3 places you listed are just fantastic! My order: Machu Picchu, Cuzco, Lake Titicaca. While in Cuzco, please make sure you have the opportunity to visit the Indian market in Pisac on Saturdays (my favorite place for photos!). Also, make sure you drink plenty of coca tea when in high altitudes. Enjoy your trip and share your photos!

I have been using the Mac versions of Luminar since the beginning with great results and ease of use. Luminar was initially developed exclusively for Macs. Earlier this year the company introduced the Windows version. I have heard from several people that the 2 versions are not exactly the same. What I found is that the Luminar folks are very progressive and fast to respond to user's feedback, so I wouldn't be surprised if the 2 versions are today identical or close to that. I would suggest checking with Windows users of Luminar before purchase. I am happy with the Mac 2018 version. Nelson.

I don't know what took me so long? I think it was because I've been using Photoshop Elements for so long ... and could never get it to open my RAW files. So, I convinced myself that jpeg was good enough. And, in a lot of cases it is good enough. So, I stopped shooting in jpeg + RAW, and just shot in jpeg.

Recently, I joined UHH, and began following the daily updates, etc. I absolutely love this forum, because I am learning so much, and I am starting to contribute in whatever way I can. I am a hobbyist ... and an enthusiast wannabe. I think? that's the order?

Anyway, I recently purchased Luminar 2018 for $49, YES $49 (when using discount code DANBAILEY at checkout) and fell in love with it. Today, I happened to take a couple of images from a year or so ago (that were jpeg images I had edited), and brought the RAW versions of those images into Luminar (for the first time) to see how I might be able to improve on the jpeg versions I had done.

OMG ... I could not believe it! I did this because a number of you (so sorry, wish I could remember your names?) kept saying to shoot and process RAW, and that it was easier and faster to process RAW files ... which I didn't believe. But ... I do now. I am a convert, and will be forever grateful to this forum for that. As I write, today I have been taking some of my favorite images that I had captured a RAW file of as well, and am re-editing them, with fantastic results.

Now, there are two variables here. One is RAW vs. jpeg. The other is Photoshop Elements 14 vs. Luminar. So, perhaps I could be improving my jpeg images even further by re-processing them in Luminar ... but at this point I don't even care anymore. Luminar and RAW is my new process! One other thing I have learned is although I've become pretty efficient with Photoshop Elements 14, I can edit so much faster in Luminar! Saving time to me is a very precious thing.

Thank you all for sharing your knowledge with this forum! I am forever grateful.

Fredrick, I too use Lumix 2018 and I like it very much. It's almost as powerful as the full Photoshop, but without the constant learning/remembering (and cost). You should know that Luminar can access Photoshop Elements (including Lightroom and the full Photoshop) as a plugin.
