I have had nothing but problems with this program.
I finally was able to download the software and they sent me an activation code. I even copied the code and when i entered it and my email address they would not accept it.
They have the worst customer service; so i sent them an email, and now i wait for an answer.
Is anyone else having problems with this program?

Luminar 4 installed easily and working fine. Did not receive early activation code but contacted them and they were very responsive. I have no complaints.

These all laughably insignificant vs the $4,400,000,000,000 annual Federal budget in 2019 ($4.4 trillion), as in 0.0005% for your combined cited items except Mueller's investigation that paid for itself with the felony conviction and real estate forfeiture of Paul Manafort, Campaign Chairman ... Government waste is real. I'm not saying it isn't. But, one person's vital program is another person's waste and nibbling around 0.0005% is not going to accomplish anything. You're not even a rounding error on a rounding error.

A few million here, a few million there and pretty soon you are talking about real money. You have to start somewhere and remember the money is/was ours.

Maybe the any kick-back from the interest from other buyers who don't pay it off compensates?

Exactly. Plus as I understand it, the sales tax is still paid to the state as B&H must still charge it, the only difference is it is paid by B&H and not by me, so the state still gets its pound of flesh.

Too much effort to save sales tax!

I set it up as soon as it was made available. Approval was almost instantaneous. I live in Washington state where the sales tax approaches 10%. Recently bought another D850 and saved about $286. Just make sure you can pay off whatever the statement balance is otherwise the rate is exorbitant. Thanks B&H. Cheers.

I do a lot of wildlife photography with my Nikkor 200-500 and am thinking of investing in a gimbal for my Gitzo carbon fiber tripod (my Kirk ball head is great for stationary subjects but not so much for moving creatures). I've looked at RRS, Wimberley, and Benro heads. Both RRS and Wimberley are fairly expensive whereas the Benro GH2 retails for about $250-$325 - a much more affordable option. The Benro seems to get pretty good reviews but I'd like to get some opinions from folks who use gimbals before buying anything.

Another vote for Nest. Good price and exceptional quality purchased from Mt shooter. I use it with a 200 to 500 Nikon zoom on a D850 and could not be happier.

Pro Media Gear L Plate (PLX4x) fits Nikon D750 with battery grip attached. Appear like new, no marks or scratches of any kind. Recently sold my D750 to get another D850. Therefore, I no longer need this L bracket. I, among others, consider the quality of Pro Media Gear to be the equal of, if not in some areas superior to RRS and Kirk. Pro Media Gear is just that, pro media gear. If you are unfamiliar with the brand, check out their website. Made in the USA. List price is $ 89.95, your price $ 59.95 to include shipping to the CONTUS. Personal check, money order, electronic transfer (as long as I net the price) are acceptable. For photo and any further details please see promediagear.com Please PM me if interested. Thanks.

Nikon D750 body with Nikon MB-D16 battery grip, US model, with original boxes, body cap, (sorry, I tossed the strap, probably don't want to advertise for Nikon anyway), owner's manual, USB cable, Nikon battery, charger, Hoodman Eyecup, Vello LCD Screen Protector (when I got the camera and removed the protective film on the LCD screen I immediately put this protector on the screen), and the Nikon View NX2 DVD. I will also include Darrell Young's book, Mastering the Nikon D750, complete with yellow highlights, (you're welcome!). All,except the book, purchased new from B & H on 11.27.17, no recalls, original invoices available upon request. Shutter count is 990, that's right 990. There is not a mark anywhere on this camera, you will not be able to tell from new

People here always seem to want to know the reason for selling. I recently retired and wanted to get back into photography, been out for many, many years (Nikon F2's and Kodachrome 64). So I bought 2 D 750's, numerous lenses and just about everything else you can think of. Then the D850 came out, so I sold one of the D750's and bought a D850 and have been almost exclusively shooting with the D850. I do however, like having 2 bodies which minimizes changing lenses in the field. Also, being a bit older (retired) cannot learn new things as easily as I once did, or maybe more accurately I don't want to spend too much time doing so, either way I want the same body for my second camera. So I am selling my last D750 and have purchased a second D850, so whatever muscle memory I have left can be dedicated elsewhere.

My rash purchasing decisions are my loss and your gain. I will accept a personal check, money order, electronic funds transfer, paypal is fine but my net must be the advertised price. Shipment will be delayed until funds clear and are in hand. You may PM me here or call me at 206-799-9499 and leave a message as I do not answer unless I recognize the number. Price includes shipping with signature required upon delivery only to the CONTUS. I'm thinking $950 is a fair price given the Nikon battery grip, shutter count and accessories but I am open to reasonable offers or thoughts on the pricing. Thanks. Alan.

I know that many people replace the tripod foot of the Nikkor 200-500. Does anyone have the original laying around that would be willing to sell it? Please let me know as I am looking for one. The plastic screw head on mine cracked and Nikon will not just sell me the screw to replace it. They say that I have to send it in to get it repaired. How ridiculous!!

I replaced mine and no longer need the original. It yours if you want it, no charge. PM me your address and I’ll put it in the mail. Cheers.

I just got back from a couple weeks in Nova Scotia. Coming from Texas, I know better than to vacation in the Caribbean during hurricane season - so I head north to Canada. Boom, Hurricane Dorian hits Nova Scotia head on. Nothing like the Bahamas, but still -- trees down, roads blocked, 400,000 without power (quite a sizeable percentage for a place with a total population of 960,000).

I was staying at the Salmon River Country Inn, and this was the view directly across the road from the inn. For 2 days it was very cloudy, the colors were muted and the pictures I took just didn't match up what I had in mind. Finally, just before sunset my last day at SRCI, the sun peeked out from under the clouds and I was able to get this dramatic picture.

I have a two part question:
1 - I recently purchased a used Manfrotto BeFree tripod but I need to convert the ball clamp to an Acra Swiss clamp. I have looked on the web but found the adapters very confusing and I am not sure which would work. Any suggestions.

2 - I have the same problem with a Manfrotto 393 gimbal with a 357PLV Quick Release Plate. I need to use an Acura Swiss plate.

I think pro media gear has an adapter plate from Manfrotto to Arca Swiss. They are very responsive to inquiries.

I was out in the early morning and took a picture of this building and the a few days later I got the other side of it in the afternoon. Which one is better, as far as composition and lighting?

Just my opinion but definitely the second. Much more interesting. If possible it might be better if the camera position could have been farther left, still including the light post but also more of the building as well. Also more interesting light on the second one.

Hello! I tried my first star trail photo tonight using “bulb mode” for 25 minutes on a Canon EOS R and an EF 35-80mm lens (not sure if that matters here). I am not in a highly populated area but there are some lights from homes sparsely scattered around ours. This was taken in the pitch black dark at 10:30pm. It obviously looks like broad daylight because light from somewhere infiltrated, but where? And what can I do to prevent this next time? Thanks in advance for your advice!
