David Busch's books are outstanding. I have one on my Nikon and one on my Sony and both are very well done. After reading I find myself referring to them often.

I'll start the bidding at $100....but only if you pay shipping.

Right now, at Adorama, the XT-2 is $1599 and the XT-3 is $1499. Interesting...

I just checked Adorama. It's $1599 for the XT-2 body only. With the 18-55mm it's still $1899.

The AT-3 is $1499 for the body only. With the $18-55mm it's still $1899

So the XT-2 is $100 more than the XT-3 (body only). Doesn't make any sense at all. Prices seem to change by the minute.

Mr. Burke,

Yah, but do you really like mirrowless camera systems?

Excellent summation of all the advantages and features of the mirrorless systems. Well done.

Great question as I recently purchased the X-T3. Maybe a problem with X-T3’s that software can’t fix. So far I love my camera.

That thought occurred to me. I've been following both on the Fuji Forum and there seems to be a few software problems with the X-T3, like the camera freezing up, requiring the battery be removed and re-inserted, being unable to turn the camera off without removing the battery and minor glitches like that. Those problems seem minor and will likely be fixed with a software update once the Fuji engineers get it figured out.

Just checked B&H and Adorama on Fuji X-T2 and X-T3 pricing. A few days ago the X-T2 was $1499 and the X-T3 was $1899, a $400 price difference with both packages including the excellent 18-55mm kit lens. Today they are priced the same. The X-T2 increased $400 to $1899 while the X-T3 remains at $1899, the same price. Wouldn't anyone in their right mind choose the X-T3 over the X-T2 at the same price? What is their pricing strategy? Would anyone here choose the X-T2 over the X-T3 at the same price? Why?

Inquiring minds want to know.

... A few months ago I decided to upgrade. Since Sony has been so good for me, I decided to purchase a Sony a6000. Sony has, again for me, hit a home run. I have also purchased Sigma 16mm f1.4, a Sigma 30mm f2.8 EX DN, and a Sony 18-135mm f3.5-6.3 lens. I am very happy with my purchase. Nice camera, nice pictures, nice features. I have no buyers remorse. A fun little camera.

Great minds think alike.

I have the very same setup.
Sony A6000
Sigma 16mm
Sigma 30mm
Sony 18-135

and an extra A6000 with a Sony 18-105mm on it.

The Nikon stays in the closet most of the time. I love the Sony setup, small, compact, and covers just about everything I need.

... You are going after a particular lens. One store states $811.00 with free shipping and another states $800.00 plus $11.00 shipping. Which one would you choose?

I would choose the store that states $811 with free shipping because I like getting free stuff.

Sorry.....I couldn't resist.

Cameras and lenses are optional.

Water is a necessity.

You made the right choice.

Which of those two lenses do you like better?

I prefer the 18-135 because it is a bit smaller, lighter, and more compact than the 18-105. Both produce excellent photos. I don't do many videos but most reviewers say the 18-105 is the better choice for video. I was looking for the most compact combination with the focal lengths I prefer. If I could only own one it would be the 18-135.

Sony A6000 with an 18-105, another A6000 with an 18-135. My Nikon resides in the back of the closet.....somewhere. It's feeling neglected because it gets very little use anymore.

I think you may have posted the shutter count on your previous post but I can't remember what it was. Do you have that number?

My choice would be their excellent 18-55 kit lens and their equally excellent 18-135 compact zoom. The 18-135 gets excellent reviews and is expensive (currently $799 on sale from most sellers) and it's probably worth it.

"Nikkei published their 2018 interchangeable lens camera worldwide market share report:

Canon: 49.1%
Nikon: 24.9%
Sony: 13.3%

Interesting numbers. I would like to see the numbers for "rate of growth" for the Big 3. I'm guessing Sony would have the largest rate of growth because of the move to mirrowless by so many people.
