One workaround to an "embedded" image is to make a "screen grab" to recreate the file. Screen grabs on Mac are Option, Command, 3 for the whole screen, or Option, Command, 4 for a cursor to swipe just what you want on the screen.

On my MacBook Pro using High Sierra (just released OS) that would be shift+command+3 or 4 for whole screen or selection.

This morning's press shows that Apple feels no responsibility for any iPhone over one year old. See Slashdot.com for 09/14/2017.

I believe you might be reading a little too much into the story. Specifically the report states that in court Apple argued it is unreasonable to expect their one year warranty to cover an iPhone for the length of the customer’s contract with their service provider (typically 2 years). Does Samsung, et al offer longer coverage for no additional cost?

So the smartphone as expensive as it is you can't talk to God with it huh? Lousy phone for $1000.

Just goes to show you- God is no respecter of persons. He doesn’t text either. Although I guess you could say the Bible is the ultimate text.

This was directed to all the fanboys like you. LOL

Like Nikon, Apple makes products that I like and work for me. Neither company is perfect, but then name one that is.

The fact is that the IPhone X is a Samsung knock off of the S8+.
Jeesh Samsung makes half of the stuff in the iphone.
Apple is a ship coasting along on past inertia.
Todays smart phone is no longer a music player that can make phone calls as Jobs saw it.
The walled garden with the outdated ITunes is unnecessary.
I would think with all the Billions of dollars they are hoarding that Cook would have got into the OLED screen manufacturing years ago.
No allowing micro sd cards is a insult to there isheep customers.

You do realize (or maybe not) that if you don’t tap “quote reply” no one has a clue as to whom your comments refer to, since there have been several favorable posts regarding Apple products in general and IPhone in particular.

You mentioned Samsung. Wasn’t it Samsung that made famous the smoking phone? 😏

But do you have a direct line to God, or is it just a 1 900 number? Does FaceTime work?

Apologies for any potential offense to people of a religious disposition!

..

No 900 number. Only direct line is through prayer. As to the irreverent clip, there is often more truth in jest than we might like to admit.
Blessings,
John

Well said! I have a lot of Apple stuff and am very satisfied with there products. One reason is they work.

Having used pc’s since the days of ms dos, and having gone through all the Windows permutations, I switched over to Apple products about four years ago. For myself, I never looked back or regretted it. As a full time pastor I use an iMac, a MacBook Pro, my iPad and my iPhone 7 Plus on a daily basis. They all are extremely useful to me for my ministry.

The camera on my iPhone 7 Plus will never replace my Nikon D750, not only for the pictures it produces, but also for the great pleasure I get from shooting with it. However, the convenience of having a decent camera in my pocket at all times has come in handy on many occasions.

The virtual horizon displayed in the viewfinder only shows black bars at the bottom of the screen that shift to the left and right. The pitch and roll virtual horizon is displayed on the back LCD screen.

Yes, that is exactly what I'm seeing. What threw me was that John Greenco's video shows the view in the viewfinder, and in that view you can clearly see the black indicators on both the bottom and the side of the viewfinder. That second set of (pitch or roll?) indicator on the side never is displayed in my viewfinder.

Greetings All. Recently purchased Nikon D750. Lovin' it so far. Watching John Greengo's course on D750 at creativelive.com. He shows that the viewfinder can display a roll indiator by assigning it to fn button. However when I so assign, the fn button does turn on virtual horizon, but it only shows side to side scale, not front to back scale. I'm not sure which is pitch and which is roll, but I believe I'm seeing roll, but not pitch. I must be missing something. Help please.

I normally use Nikon batteries but one time I decided on the day of a trip that I needed one more extra battery and couldn't get to a camera store, so I went to a place named "Batteries Plus" (or something like that.) Bought the one battery and have used it in my D300S & D700 with no ill effects. having said that, tho, reading the posts makes me want to buy Nikon branded batteries in the future.

Apparently not a problem for B&H. Recently purchased a D750 from them. They sent me a "Watson" battery with camera. No problems with battery so far.

You are just as illogical as the OP. I guess common sense is not that common around here.

I'll apologize in advance for my ignorance, but I'm new here and to photography. So please excuse any apparent lack of understanding; Discounting the fact that this thread has gone off the rails some miles back, I'm afraid I don't see what was illogical or lacking in common sense. Frankly I was greatly interested in helpful answers (and thanks to those of you who have given them), but we've gotten so deeply into the weeds here the suggestions the OP was hoping for have become obscure. Could someone please get this thread back on track or let it die?

Canon has made decisions that will CHASE a lot of potential customers away.

Greetings folks. New to UHH, and love reading posts each day. Haven't commented until now. This thread has been quite interesting to me.

Above quote sounds more like pre-cognitive guessing than market analysis.
