I was told during my visit there that Clyde did use, for most of his career, multiple view cameras from 4 X 5 up to 20 X 24. Imagine packing a camera of that size and weight through mud, standing water, etc. It's clear that he worked very hard to achieve the greatness in photography that he has.

And he goes thru the swamp in his bare feet. Amazing.

I clicked the link and I understand your point. Ansel would be proud.

Thank you for posting.

Thank you JD750 for using the link, looking at Clyde's photography, and contributing to a discussion of his marvelous work.

Just in case there is anyone in UHH that has not checked out his work, Clyde Butcher is our Ansel Adams of the Everglades. Enjoy his work.

Clyde Butcher - https://clydebutcher.com

Internationally renowned fine art photographer and environmentalist.

I visited his gallery in the Everglades last month. Remarkable.

Those are really neat! However, they can severely damage cut lumber and stands of timber.

Capitol Reef is such an underrated park. The rock colors and shapes are so unique. Unfortunately it was cloudy the day I was there but the next morning on the way out had good light. The park is lightly visited because it's out of the way, which is just the way I like it. I definitely need to come back and spend at least three days here. The 1st two pics are from the Navajo Knobs Trail and the 2nd two are from the next morning on the drive out.

My wife and I loved it there, too. I previously posted some of my shots on UHH here: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-533141-1.html

I was in Key West a month ago and my BNB was only 2 blocks away from there. I didn't visit it because it was 95 degrees and the line was way down the sidewalk. It was just too hot for me. SO, I really appreciate your post. It gives me a little glimpse of what I missed. Thanks.

Yesterday I watched Apple's latest presentation on its new iPhones. I'm interested in the opinions of our UHH contributors of the camera system (still and video) of these new iPhone 11's.

I have an iPhone 8 Plus, and while the camera system is OK for what it is, I would be lost without my DSLR's. For me, their creative potential will never be surpassed by these new cell phone cameras. And my DSLR's will capture video, too.

BUT, will these cell phone cameras eat away at the population who would potentially use DSLR's?

OR, are these new phone cameras a good back-up system to carry around?

So many questions!!!

If you haven't watched the newest Apple presentation, the link is below.

I love the first image best. BTW, I took my grandson fishing there on Saturday. The original bridge approaches are now fishing piers. Caught 2 sharks.

You might hit the 'a-maize-ing' Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota. That's enroute to Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower National Monument, the Little Big Horn Battlefield National Monument, Independence Rock on the Oregon Trail, South Pass (doesn't really look like much initially, but it is photogenic in desert sort of way and the sign is good). There are, of course a few more famous places in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Utah: You will have probably already heard of those places. Have fun.

Scott Kelby is owner and publisher of Photoshop Magazine. (kelbyone.com). He recommends and uses G-Technology Drives. They are available in all sizes at Amazon. I have 2- 4TB drives attached to my iMac right now and love them.
