Headed to Rio Grande, Puerto Rico this Friday. 4 adults and a 5 yr. old. Any suggestions on what to see and/or where to go ? Thanks in advance. Gotta go pack.

Well, it depends on how adventurous you are and how much you want to spend.
There are lots of things to see and do in Puerto Rico. Close to Rio Grande is El Yunque rainforest, not sure if it is completely open yet after the hurricane.

Further up east is Fajardo, where you can catch boats to Flamenco Beach in Culebra island- one of the best in the world. You can take the ferry. Very cheap (about $4 round trip), but that will require being in line for tickets before 4am for departure at 9am. Also in Fajardo in Las Croabas, at night there are kayak tours for the bioluminescent bay. The Fajardo lighthouse in Las Cabezas nature reserve is something else you can visit.

There is the zip line, a bit expensive but close by too. Luquillo beach (my favorite) is a few minutes east of Rio Grande and you can't miss taking a dip.

Going west and into the mountains there is the Arecibo Observatory if you are into science. If you go be ready to hike a very inclined (paved) road up to the visitor's center. If you make it this far, go a bit further to the town of Lares for some unheard of ice cream flavors (cod fish ice cream anyone?).

And of course, no trip to PR is complete without a visit to San Juan. Traffic from/to Rio Grande on weekdays before 9am and after 3pm is pretty heavy. Take the toll road to save you some grief.

Make sure you carry mosquito repellent spray just in case and you'll be fine. Have fun and come back to tell us all about it. Damn, I'm already homesick...

I believe that many photographers at one point have taken an image that may not be easy to explain. I have a few myself. But being Gettysburg considered one of the most haunted places, it makes the image most interesting.
Especially, if you go to Gettysburg (or anywhere else for that matter) with the intent to capture paranormal activity, chances are you won't get much if any. So, I think this image is rare as well. If I were the op I would explore ways to enhance the image and extract as much detail as possible.

I have used Yongnuo 603N transceivers for years to fire my d500 and/or Yongnuo flashes for years and have worked flawlessly. They come in pairs. You set one one on the hot shoe and connect a cable (included) from the 603N to the 10 pin connector. Use the other to trigger the camera.

Try Nikon Image Space https://www.nikonimagespace.com
Although you won't create a website, it does what you are looking for. You upload photos to galleries you create. Then send individuals a link to which they can see and download the images if they so choose. You can find out how many times your photos have been seen. Also, receive feedback as to which photos people like the most. The first 2Gb are free for everyone. If you shoot Nikon, then the first 20Gb are free and also have the option of having your images uploaded automatically with Snapbridge.

The following article talks about the practical uses of Photography in space.

https://www.nikonusa.com/en/learn-and-explore/a/ideas-and-inspiration/high-concept-captain-scott-kellys-images-from-the-international-space-station.html

Astronaut Scott Kelly shares his images and how to take Earth photos.

Astronaut Jeff Williams shows some of the equipment used for photography in space. Got to be careful not to let those lenses float away and knock someone out.

Astronaut Chris Hadfield talks about the light angle and camera settings. A bit dated on the equipment, but the principles remain the same.

I painted a wall in my basement medium gray. When a colored light source is projected on it...it reflects the color.

I like the Orange. I try the same effect with a Lastolite background and flash gels on a Magmod MagBounce.

The cloud is nothing but someone else’s computer. Dependent on you paying your fees, one company taking over another, their security systems and regular maintenance. And as stated before, it can work as one of the elements of your backup pool.

God only knows what technologies we will see in the next 20 yrs., let alone 50 or 100. But so far, paper copies have been able to outlast them all. I will take the time to print and label a decent sample of my collection. I am positive that many years from now someone in my family will appreciate me doing so.

My wife and I are going to the Biltmore and the Chihuly exhibit this weekend. I would like to give my neutral density filter a work-out with some steams and falls. Any locations of moving or falling water would be appreciated. Thank you! Dennis

Take your polarizer filter too. I went last year to the Dupont Forest looking for the falls on my way to SC. There are three within walking distance. Stop by the visitor center to get more information. I made it to the Triple Falls, which is the one shown in the photo. And after you take all the photos, just sit and contemplate all that water falling. It is like therapy. https://www.dupontforest.com/visit/

I admire his photos, but I am not sure I would have the patience required to get some of these shots. I wonder what makes Mangelsen persist for so long. That halfway during those 42 days he might have thought “maybe this is not working out”, or “that the subject went somewhere else overnight”, or “it is just too damn hot/cold”. Not to say the expense required in assistants, travel, equipment, etc. with no guarantee to get the desired photo.

But perhaps that is what is necessary to carve yourself a niche, willing to do what few would. And for him it is coming along quite well.
