Bought two lenses from Roberts and both were excellent, delivery also went well.
I actually have experience with all four of the 100-400. I do not think you can find a better lens then the Canon 100-400 L 2 for many pictures. It is amazing. I owned the Pull Push Canon and it also is a fine lens. I just got tired (as I am getting older) of carrying around the 4+ lbs all day. I have used both the Sigma and Tamron and I have finally settled on the Tamron. Both over a pound lighter then the Canon and take pretty good pics.

On my last doors off on Kauai I used a 24-105 and it was really a good choice.
They have a pretty good 25" LG monitor at Costco for about $150. Look around on Amazon and it will probably be there also. If you go 4K they get more expensive.
That is a start, decide if you want to go bigger than that or not. My 25" works very well.
If you think you will be doing more than this trip, the Olympus TG-5 and 6's are great and would be a great long term purchase. If you are not sure about things, Costco sells a Fugi 160 that takes very nice JPGS. Cost is less then about $170.
