The cemetery is situated at the top of a cliff overlooking the famous Omaha Beach. It consists of 173.5 acres and contains the graves of 9.380 of our military dead, most of whom lost there lives in the D-Day landings and ensuing operations. The cemetery is open to he public and is and is one of the most visited memorials in France.
