Being a shot that was made at ISO 25,600 LR did an excellent job cleaning the noise. The second image, the filtered one, has a color correction. Was that also done when you edit with LR? As far as I know adding contrast does not color correct.
A very nice image.

I actually did not make any color correction during the edit. Perhaps the color changed somewhat with the contrast adjustment.
Thanks.

I actually think the denoisified version is quite impressive. I never realized LR had an AI denoise function. Does it come with the monthly subscription version?

It's available in the latest version of LR that dropped this week.

Image was shot in Notre Dame (before the fire) at 1/160s, f.3.8, ISO 25,600. The top image is with the original LR Denoise, the bottom after using LR Denoise AI. Full disclosure, the bottom image also had some additional processing in Photoshop, mostly for additional contrast control. I wouldn't hang either picture on my wall but I wanted to see what the new software could do with a high ISO image. This is the highest ISO image I've ever shot. Just wanted to get some memory of Notre Dame while I was there. What do you think?

Using a MAC Studio with 32GB RAM it took no longer than 25 seconds to process all the images I sent to LR Denoise. All the images I used were from D800.

Been using Precision Color inks on a Canon Pro 100 for about 3 years with wonderful results. Cost to refill a cartridge is less than $2 compared with $17 for an OEM cartridge.

#2. Very unusual and pleasing composition with the sunset showing through the breaking wave.

On a personal note, I called on Samy's Camera for a number of years when I was a professional film rep in Los Angeles. Samy himself is one of the nicest, kindest and sincerest men I have known and his company is a reflection of the man.

Guess we won't be getting together anytime soon.

Arizona desert is going bonkers with wildflowers this year. These are just east of Phoenix in the Saguaro Lake area. This area is also home to a fairly large herd of wild horses. A real treat to see both at the same time.

I've done a number of golf tournaments and I've found registration time can be somewhat chaotic with friends greeting friends and all. Work with the tournament so that they tell the golfers to have their photo taken before registration this way you don't have to interrupt them once they're in the golfing mode. Tell them the photos will be available at the reception afterwards and don't worry about giving them a number. What I did was put all the photos on tables after the golfing and let the golfers pick up the photos there and have someone available to collect money. I used to get the prints done while they were golfing at the nearest Costco or Walgreens for less than .15 cents ea. Folders were inexpensive and those that don't buy you can use the folder over again. Good luck.
