Imagine the awe when fire was discovered and coffee was heated for the first time!!!!

Not to put too fine a point on the subject but, fire was not discovered. Like light, it has always been there (in human existence) in one form or another. We simply started to understand some of its attributes and assigned it a name. Same for air, rain, clouds, gravity, wind, rocks, moon, etc.

I would like to select the frame showing my grandson blocking the penality kick to win his teams tournament game. I was not at the game and this video was taken with a camera phone. Quality is questionable. Is there anyone here that can extract that frame or tell me how? I have PS and LR on my computer but it will not load the file. The error message in PS is "could not open video000000.mp4 because the DynamicLink Media Server is not available.

Thanks in advance.

Here is my attempt.

When I was a young lad, delivering the Sunday morning newspapers on my route before dawn , I heard a baby crying. Upon investigation, I found the sound was coming from deep down inside a very dark basement stairwell. Convinced the crying baby was down in that stairwell I ran home to get my Mom. We went back to the stairwell with a flashlight. Upon shining the light down into that dark abyss…..two cats jumped out!

Years ago my wife and I, along with some friends, were attending a local High School baseball game. We were setting high up in the bleachers when a woman walked in at ground level that looked exactly like my wife, who was seated right beside me. Everyone in our little group was astounded at the resemblance. My wife was not that convinced. Very unnerving!

"I don't know, I don't care, and it doesn't make any difference."

It is complacent rumination of the former and the misjudgment of the later, that has us in today’s predicament! Life is a participation activity folks!

Realising how much you like these puzzles, here's another one for all you clever people out there:

I borrowed $50 from my mum and $50 from my dad
I bought a shirt costing $97
After the purchase, I had $3 left
I returned $1 to my dad and $1 to mum, and kept $1 for myself
I now owe my mum $49
I now owe my dad $49
In total I owe $98
Adding in the $1 I kept for myself totals only $99

So where is the missing $1?
iii
And remember no Googling or asking a nearby child
Realising how much you like these puzzles, here's ... (show quote)

Do that 97 times and you can buy another shirt.

Thanks for the answer, but why can't we deduce the amount of each hydrocarbon and put it together ourselves? They have been able to dissect the human genome with over a million parts, why can't we do this with gas? I'm just trying to understand why we can't manufacture something even if it is not petroleum as we get it from the ground. It seems we can do so much but why are we unable to do this?

I agree, we must pick our battles but, being too somniferous can lead to being taken advantage of, or worse; total annihilation.

In the long run, you must stand up for your rights or lose them to the next bully that comes along..

Belt grinder finally finished and working like a charm.
I replaced the 1hp-1725 rpm face mount motor with a 1.5hp-3600 rpm base mount motor which entailed ,modifying
the motor mount plate then rewiring for 230v and installing a small compressor to keep tension on the belt, I did this because I have yet to replace my big compressor since the tank blew up last November.

Had you thought about using one side of the grinder motor to drive the sander and sizing the drive wheel to get the speed you wanted?

Why not use a spring?

I don't know that there is all that much to photograph from a balloon. Maybe I'm wrong.

In Sedona there is. Also, the helicopter tour is spectacularly picturesque.
