So why didn't he defend himself, I would. I dealt with scammers in the past and when called out they vanish. They would rather spend their time with the next victim.

Even PP can be a risk if you are not careful. Twice someone tried to scam me with sending me an ok to ship paid invoice from PP. Both times I checked my account and no money. The invoices fool some people cuz they look legit.

I checked up on Venmo and from what I understand you do the transaction using a smart phone. Mine is an older flip phone with no wifi on it.

He wanted me to use venmo what ever that is. Using PP you need to ship to a PP confirmed account for full protection. If he payed with PP the Texas address would be a risk for me

I had a feeling it was a scam so I played along a bit until I mentioned the word scam, he then no longer replied.

Selling a camera on Facebook market place and the guy wants me to ship to daughter who is studying in Texas. Will pay $100 extra plus shipping fees. These guys sure do keep trying.
