I'm trying to get advice on selling my Canon, but I'm hoping for a cash only transaction. What's the best way to do this?
Keh.com gives a 'fair' price and pays cash ... check actually. There are a number of us here who have sold to them.
If you are expecting top dollar you will probably have to find a buyer. You can post it here in the members buy and sell section.

I have used KEH once with no problems. Sadly, Cameta is no longer in business because I also used them.
If you mean literally cash, Craig's list and holding the face to face transaction at your local police station is the best way.
I have sold a number of cameras right here on the forum's buy/sell section. I don't think any of my posts went unsold. You lose too much in fees using eBay.
I found that I got a significantly higher price from MPB than the competition. They paid "cash" by direct deposit to my bank account.
I usually drive around until I see some people standing on the corner, go up and ask them if they want to buy a camera. Works every time. All joking aside, send it to KEH or Adorama or MPB, get you cash and move on. If you want to sell via Craig's list or what ever, be prepared for problems.

I'd forget about Craig's list altogether. If you want to sell on eBay, and it's a big ticket item, you really need to have an established record as a seller, and deal ONLY with buyers who likewise have an established record as buyers of similar value items, and pay by PayPal. And no local pickup.
There are several ways to limit the class of buyers who can bid on or purchase your item, but that often limits the interest in the item, so depresses the price. In my experience it's just not worth the hassle.

There are lots of online selling sites - if you want cash you'll need to be careful and sell to a local buyer. Meet in a public place. I sold a Canon lens via Gumtree (UK), met the guy locally in a public place, he tried the lens on his camera and handed me the cash. Just be careful
I've sold a lot of equipment via Craigslist, and some locally on OfferUp as well. Use common sense, meet in a public place (some police departments have designated space for such transactions), and don't give out any personal information. The truth is, there are many fine people who just want to buy locally so they can examine or test the equipment before purchase, or because they don't want to wait to get something shipped. On my end, I've always appreciated getting cash instead of Paypal or some other digital currency.

Here and on Ebay. Forget about cash.

I was thinking of selling & getting new back awhile. MPB made the best offer.

Be willing to drive a long way to meet a cash buyer. Or have them just put the cash in an envelope and mail it to you, yeah that'll work.
