Oh yeah, been there. I was told by a niece that "my camera" takes really good pictures. (Like it had no help from me.) I love this niece but the comment did sting a little.

Down here we normally say "bless your heart" in response to complements like that.... :)

I gave a mounted and framed photograph to a co-worker that I took of her husband with 2 of their great grand-kids when they were visiting a few months ago. I do candid portraits of my own grand-kids & have gotten pretty good at it after a lot of trial and error and practice. She loved it and I'm sure she meant no disrespect when she said "that must be a really good camera". Bet I'm not the only one who has been on the recieving end of a 'complement' like this! :) :)

Personally, I don't use online storage. High capacity external hard drives are cheap and you don't need an internet connection to access them. You could set up 2 8TB drives, 1 primary one backup, for under $500 and store your photos your way and retrieve them faster than any internet connection available.

Ditto.....

Are you sure about who pulled the trigger?

We may never know for sure. There was a Professor at South West Texas University who was really into the conspiracy theory stuff. He even had a copy of the Zapruder film. I attended a couple of his seminars. I must admit at the time he had me pretty freaked out.... (late 70's) In the end, I DO believe that it was just one disturbed individual so desperate for attention that he was willing to do anything to get it. Sort of like these young guys who are joining ISIS these days..... As to whether or not that lone gunman was Lee Harvey.........

This is the house that Marina Oswald lived in when Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated the President. ( It's about 3 miles from my house. ) Marina still lives in the area. It was donated to the City of Irving, TX by the last owner. It has been completely restored to look like something out of the early 60's inside. There are tours leaving from the main city library if a group expresses interest in seeing the house.

They are very popular in my area also. I pass at least 3 of them when I go to work.

I spent summers in Mexico in my teens and remember seeing these.... Looks like they've migrated north and crossed cultural barriers as well....

I must confess to a certain fascination with these things. They have become more common place in this area over the last ten years or so.....

This old clunker is obviously having some sort of conversion (or renovation). It has been moored there for years & progress is very slow--I suspect that funds might be somewhat limited, lol. Please download for better details.

I love old boats & you captured this one well! Here's hoping that they manage to find the funds to fix her up....
