We have been serenaded by these guys for the last 3 days. They are busting out concrete in 3 of our bays to make way for new city bus lifts. They thought they were going through 24 inches for the surface cut but discovered it was only 12". However, they then discovered that the old lift posts were encased in 5 x 5 foot blocks of concrete.... all of which has to go! (see the pit shot) The jackhammer on the end of the arm of the backhoe is a formadable weapon and loud?! DID I SAY LOUD!!!! Enough so that even in an enclosed office 30 feet away I'm wearing earplugs!

My head hurts just thinking about the noise level. Interesting shots however ... thanks for sharing.
