Attracting birds

Jim, if the squirrels do not eat the suet I will be surprised. It is a good idea to hang the suet cage in a way that keeps out the squirrels. A shepherd's hook placed away from places where a squirrel can jump over to it is a start. Then a squirrel baffle so that they can not climb the pole. Hanging the feeder allows birds to feed from all sides. Good luck.
