Yes that lens only goes f22 & 5.6 if you want to blur image need faster lens like 24 70 2, 8 nothing wrong with camera i have slt 35 only problem faster lenses cost lot more carl zeiss nearly 2000

agree about topic about sony and nikon as a pro with canon for work work have sony a35 for hobby shooting and think it brilliant camera cameras with ovf yes were good in their day but evf and slt is way forward

just give in to quote mark twain cats and women will do whatever hell they want and the sooner men realise this the betterl:: on more serious note all dslrs are bloody good only pros go for expensive cameras and its not about better pics i should know as i am one seen some excellent photos taken with phone cameras

dont know what is supposed to be wrong with a55 i have a35 for something small and compact i use canon full frame in my work but think sony a35 is excellent camera as i have said before so much twaddle talked about cameras no bad slrs or slts just bad photographers
