I took this eagle shot last week, then cleaned up the out of focus limbs. I posted both versions on Facebook and at least one person liked the original best. I'm considering whether to print it or not, and if so which one. Personally, I like the cleaned up version, but would like confirmation from you.

I also think the cleaned up version is better.

You did an excellent conversion, but I prefer the more natural look in the orig.

Thank you Longshadow! I found the out of focus limbs a bit distracting.

The cleaned up version is nice but the original has a more woodsy look to it, like the bird is in its natural environment

I like the cleaned up better, but try cropping closer-in now the background elements have been removed. I'd take a bit off the top and to the image left, as viewed. The bird doesn't need to be centered, but it doesn't need as much open space within the frame, either.

Thank you rmorrison1116! I wondering if I just removed the limbs at the right of the bird would be a better compromise. I might try that later.

Thank you CHG_CANON! I'll give that a try.

Cleaned up version without a question. Has more visual impact. In Lightroom, I would try a black vignette 1 or 2 to your liking.

Thank you imagemeister! I was thinking of adding some clouds after I posted it. I used the older Tammy 150-600. I wish I had and exciting story for you, but the eagle just sat there on the limb posing for me for about 30 minutes, quite unusual for me.

Thank you Stan! I hadn't thought of a vignette, but will give it a try along with the other suggestions.
