Welcome, and thanks for sharing.
I can't say it is good, I can't say it is bad. I can say it's, good it's not bad.
I know you can see what could be done for some improvement.
However, I like what you have done, as I probably couldn't.
Did the leaves have any colors to them? I guess I'm wondering why you choose a black and white rendition.
Welcome to UHH.
Thanks, I noted the shift, just put it in the wrong context. Shame on me.
The picture without the UV shifted down and slightly to the right. Apparently something moved during the removal of the UV, which may also have cause a change in the focus, unless it was locked in.
Yes, it is a nice shot. He is one mean looking dude.
Here in the Northwest they are known as Steller's Jay. I like the first photo. The one's I have around here hardly ever sit still, and I have never seen one in my bird bath.
The light reflecting from the water onto the front of the Jay worked out well in this photo.
I do not believe that PSE 10 will overwrite PSE 9. As it is a full version, and not an upgrade. Sometimes upgrades require the older version just for installation. After that you can delete the old version.
You can keep both versions on your computer if you have the room, which is most likely now days.

Welcome to UHH. Take pictures of everything. When I look back at some of my old pictures of the city I grew up in, I wished I had taken many more. Time has taken claim to many of the old buildings, trolly cars, old shipping docks, and etc. Memories are enhanced by photographs. Again Welcome, and enjoy UHH.
Welcome, you are off to a good start. We are all learning something new all the time.
I have a hard time understanding why someone would want 100 photo's of a child. Just how many photo's are they going to buy? You need to find out just what kind of pictures the parent is after. I have to hand it to you, you have to have a lot of patients to take on this assignment.
Picasa, I used it once upon a time, and saved my photo's to 3 disks. After a crash of my system I tried to reinstall them with no success. I still have the disks, and found that no other program will install them either. An install of a current Picasa still would not load the photo's into the program. I had a previous NON-Picasa backup that I was able to salvage a lot of photo's from, but Picasa had some later ones that I have lost.
The only thing I have not tried is an internet search for a possible solution.
I enjoyed your photo of the frog. Welcome, keep up the good work.
What is going on in the photo? Welcome to UHH.
