Wow! I AM shocked for another reason, though. I had NO IDEA there is so much information stored in every single image I take with this D-60 (and I'm sure it's the same with any other camera)!

I'm looking through this list now to see if it has my blood type, dna, fingerprints and what I had for breakfast!

Just downloaded PIE. Goodbye Opanda. Sooooooo much better than opanda.

Ok...SUCCESS! But not with Opanda. I downloaded the PIE program suggested by tkhphotography earlier in this thread. It works like a big dose of Epsom Salt!!! It shot out more information in an instant than I could EVER know what to do with!!

PIE showed the exact same number as Photoshop CS4, but without having to hunt it down in a big sea of gobbledegook HTML-looking stuff. AND it appears to be able to use any format: jpg, RAW, tif, etc.

Thanks VERY much!!! This certainly made my day!

I may try that, opanda does give alot of useless info IMO.

Yeah, I thought so, too. I re-downloaded it and reinstalled but same thing. I went to their website to see if I'm doing something wrong, but the only thing I can see is that I have a "trial version" and if I want the full featured version I need to pay from $49.99 to $99.99 depending on how much information I want.

I can get it from the other website Nikonian provided or from Photoshop CS4, so I'm not going to mess with this any more. I do appreciate you trying to help!

Lmarc. That is kind of strange. Are you using ver 2.3 and is the image a jpeg?

I downloaded Opanda but, for all my effort and confusion, I can't seem to find it. I did locate it in Photoshop CS4 under file and file info, raw data labelled image number. It was the original HTML and a chore to find for those of us computer illiterates.

I can't find it in Opanda at all, nor in Photoshop except in the raw data. And Opanda seems to only work on JPG, not RAW or TIF.

Sorry, I only have Photoshop Elements 8. Do you think the PE 10 is worth the upgrade?

I would have to say yes. I'm currently using 7 and going to 10.

i have pse-7 how much does it cost to upgrade to pse-10?? is it any easier for a newbie to learn?? is it worth it? thanks

It's 79.99 from Adobe good for 2 computers, from 7 -10 worth it, with the tutorials and guided edit it's much easier than PSE7 IMO
Also seen it on Costco website for 79.99.

I have a question...and this may seem dumb, but I also have PSE7 and I am thinking of upgrading to the PSE10. By doing this, does it just upgrade what you already have? In other words, does it "enhance" (for lack of a better word) what I already have, or does it download a whole new version? Would I have to move my pictures and sets from 7 over to the new version of 10? Does that make sense? Sorry for any confusion.

First of all, the upgrade price from Adobe for current users is 79.99. You can do this via a download or they will send you the disc, and it is the complete program, good for 2 computers.
After you install PSE10, the first time you launch it, it will check for pevious versions. It will ask you if you want to convert your PSE7 catalog to the PSE10 version. Click yes and you will have your picture catalog automatically converted to version 10. However your catalog will still be in version 7, so you can still use it just as before.
The upgrade from 7 to 10 is well worth the price
Hope this helps you out.

Where do I find "content-aware"?

Are you using PSE10? If so, when you go into full edit and select the healing brush, it will be at the top of the edit screen.

Sub-forums is a very good idea. It would make the site much easier to navigate to a specific subject.

That content aware is a new feature, very helpful. Have you upgraded to ps 10 I have 9 I didn't know if the upgrade has enough extras to make it worth it

Not yet, but I will be. Since I'm going fom PSE7 to 10 it will be worth it to me. I guess it would depend on how much use you would get out of the content-aware feature.

I'm currently using the trial version, and planning on upgrading from PSE7.

If you go into the help section, look in the lower left hand corner and see if there any updates to be downloaded. PSE 10 has some great video tutorials.
