HELP! Hello all. I am attempting to use a trial version of Elements 10. Upon inspection of some long exposure pics I took, I notice I have included the shadow from the tripod in my composition. I am new to post editing for the most part. Is there an easy fix? Greg

Go into full edit and select the healing brush and make sure content-aware is checked. Then brush over it and hopefully it will remove it. Here's what I did with a photo.

Thanks Wolfman! That works pretty good. I need a little more practice with all the different tools, but I like the software.

I'm currently using the trial version, and planning on upgrading from PSE7.

If you go into the help section, look in the lower left hand corner and see if there any updates to be downloaded. PSE 10 has some great video tutorials.

That content aware is a new feature, very helpful. Have you upgraded to ps 10 I have 9 I didn't know if the upgrade has enough extras to make it worth it

Not yet, but I will be. Since I'm going fom PSE7 to 10 it will be worth it to me. I guess it would depend on how much use you would get out of the content-aware feature.

Are you using PSE10? If so, when you go into full edit and select the healing brush, it will be at the top of the edit screen.

Sorry, I only have Photoshop Elements 8. Do you think the PE 10 is worth the upgrade?

My 9 updated itself to have the content aware I just haven't seen anyone going for 10 yet. It can't hurt I know some of it is foe video which I don't do my camera has the capabilities but I won't promise something I'm not sure I can deliver. But extra's are never a bad thing
