Since we chatted dlm I've got some stellar images of the moon and since I've tried selling my 80eq refractor. Couple bites but, nothing else. So for my Bday and Xmas , I've got a 8 in.Newtonian astrograph on its way. I'm thinking using the refractor for a autoguiding scope . Piggybacking on the newt. with an st4 adapter.

Sorry I forgot to add , It's a slow f/11 @ 900 fl. know it's awful slow but, I'll work with what I have. I also Image with my Z10 reflector, here's some images from my Z10 reflector f/5 @ 1250 fl.

dlmorris, I use a T510NG color digital telescope camera started with a Orion\starshootll usb planetary cam. I'm seeking advice on getting my pic's in better focus and clarity. I'm disabled and this is a passion that I have afr fining out that after finding out that in fact I can image something.

I've viewed from a little kid with a 50mm refractor on a alt/az mount. Pretty easy to learn that but, an 80mm on a eq1 and to track and image. Only took a year with the use of 1 hand and ole shaky mount. Thanks for your supportive comments, I try really hard and go through a lot of frustration. I'm really happy with myself for not giving up , when things were bad with flexure. I walk away and view with my Z10 and go back later and I've already forgot about the frustration. Thank yall SB

Thank yall for the welcome back, clarifying my life altering accident was when I was 9yrs. old {fell out of tree on my head 30 ft. up {r. side was paralyzed} through PT regained some movement. My life is what it is , somedays are better than others . I do most of my living through photos and the internet, I have a Z10 reflector and 80eq refractor imaging with both. I'm limited to what I can do and a disabled astronomer.

Thanks Nick and I was raised just outside of Cincinnati, "GO REDS" when I was in the hospital recovering from my accident I met with JB and talked with my hero for an hour all by myself behind closed doors. That was so very cool.

I've been working on my AP and I've been uplooking since after my accident in 74', I suffered a" severe head injuryand spine injury" so uplooking was a safe activity. It wasn't until my friend asked why I didn't try my hand at AP, that in fact it was possible and I've not looked back. I want to pick your skilled brains and become a better imager of terrestrial as well as Celestrial. I'm sure I can learn from all of you , it just takes me longer to comprehend "it's been 1/1/2 years and I'm still imaging the moon, it's time to move up to deep space and planets.

I've been working on short video for 1 1/2 yrs. with the very basic equipment . An 80 eq refractor on a eq1 mount w/ motor drive and Orion starshoot ll usb 1/4 in. sensor cam. I've since upgraded camera to a Levenhuk T510NG 1/2.5 in.sensor color digital telescope camera 10mm fl 5mp extension lense that goes in the focuser and a used lxd55 mount w/ 8x50 RACI . The moon is my first image w/ the eq1 mount. 2nd is my setup before the upgrade and 3rd is my setup now. I really want to learn to take quality images of all astronomical objects. Xmas I'll get my 50mm guider "fingers crossed." all help appreciated

Speedy and yall , I have used a Nikkon L26 5x some but, most of my daytime imaging is done with a 80mm refractor and Levenhuk T510NG digital color telescope camera. I've started imaging just about all the cool things that I see during the day and on the clearer nights view and image.

I was always told growing up that I wouldn't be able to produce any pictures because of my shakiness. I've wanted to do video AP on my laptop to ease the stress on my neck . I got a Orion starshoot for my eq80 refractor on a cheezy eq1 mount w/ ra motor drive 2 yrs. ago and haven't looked back. Straight away I tried for 6 mos. to image the moon with my left hand, that's all I can use. I'm a disabled astronomer with the will to accomplish a lot of things. From trying to get my head around a Levenhuk color digital T510NG telescope camera that fits in the focuser and doesn't require a barlow. To trying to learn more processing skills, to trying to get over the learning curve of my used lxd55 mount.

twiga if you love all things astronomical, then what is holding you back ? I'm living a dream since before my accident in 74' and 75' I recieved my 1st scope which I no longer have 50mm Tasco refractor on a alt/az mount. I have a good support group to help me get r done. There's no better satisfaction than seeing your image on a laptop screen where you can snap pictures or take short videos and process them with the free software from the net. Dreams really do come true ! I started with a $200 imaging setup , scope, eq1 mount w/ motor drive and usb camera almost 1 1/2 yrs. ago. I still image the moon but once I learn my used lxd55 goto mount I'll be moving to planets and DSO's with the proper tracking.
