Of course, the suggestion is tongue-in-cheek; a DX camera with good glass in the hands of an experienced photographer, with post-processing skills will produce admirable images.

I’ve decided to invest in glass. I have a 50mm 1.4 it’s a older lens but I’m having difficulties getting it to focus in manual at 1.4 on my D7100. I found the same lens in a 85mm, it’s a Nikon 85mm f/1.4 AI-s lens
For $380. Will I have the same difficulty with this lens on my D7100. Also the seller said that it had dust inside but will not affect the photos.
