I got Luminar 3 "free" as an upgrade to my paid 2018. I brought up 3 a couple of times, didn't like it, & have continued to use 2018 continuously I will wait for a while after 4 is released and get a feel for how people are doing with it.
Be very careful with that. Watch a couple of YouTube videos dealing with Bald Face hornet removal. If those are hornets, or even common yellow jackets, you have a potentially dangerous situation on your hands.

My prime suggestion is to get closer to your target, either physically, with a longer prime, or a zoom. Make sure your subject is not mistaken as just another component in the photo.
I have a protective screen on my D500 & have had no problems.
